Having more memory just hides the memory problems really, thats probably why you don't notice the usage so much. 512Mb is fine for a standard XP install unless you plan or playing 3D games at high texture levels. On a clean install with no other software, windows XP uses about 140Mb'ish of real memory with nothing other then it's system processes running. Add 50Mb for zone alarm. Thats 190Mb. With all due respect i'm really not impressed with most of the stardock products so far. I think they're covering a really nice area of development and on initial installation and use the programs look very nice. But the shear number of bugs, strange error messages, and simple yet highy un-user friendlyness I've come across in the couple of weeks i've been trying them out make them really not nice programs to use.
