Please check your influence ability in the Civ Manager "Stats and Graphs" screen. It is likely you have bought one or more influence resource starbases. These increase your influence ability. I'm not sure what size map you are on, but on smaller maps, you may have enough influence to cover most if not all of the map - it is possible. I am assuming the planets are defecting to you? Please let us know what your influence abilit

Thanks, BaninLance. SmartException files are the best way for us to get to the bottom of crashes like this. If you have saved games that reproduce the crash, those are very helpful too. Please e-mail these files to gc2bugs@stardock.com. Thanks

If you are using Quicksave, those overwrite a file called QuickSave.sav and put the file in your My Documents/My Games/Galciv2 folder. This is overwritten every time you use it. If you are using Autosave, there should be an Autosave.sav and a PreviousAutosave.sav file in the same folder. In campaign games, each mission will have its own set of autosave files and these are in subfolders of the above folder. All of your save

Please get SmartException (Under Free Stuff in Stardock Central) and run that while you play. It will generate a detailed report for us. We can then use that report to find out exactly where your crash occured. You can email the reports that it generates to gc2bugs@stardock.com Thank you.

Bridgehead. If you are experiencing a crash at the start of the game, please post your debug.err file. This file can be found in your galciv2 folder. Usually C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\Galciv2 Thank you.

Like CTB124 said, please try the newest beta 4a, and if you don't mind running SmartException that would provide us with the information we need to quickly find the cause of the crash, if it does continue to happen in the newest beta. Thank you.

Do you have a saved game before the starbase was attacked? I've tried building a starbase out there and letting it get attacked, but I'm not getting anything wierd happening. Please post your debug.err file if you still have it from that game. Thanks.

Please post your debug.err file here. This file can be found in your galciv2 program folder. (usually c:\program files\stardock\totalgaming\galciv2) This will help us to determine what is going on. Also, if you haven't already, please try updating to the most recent version ( v 1.0x ) and check your drivers to make sure they are up to date. Thank you.

It sounds like you may be using a non-English version of Windows. If so, please change your regional settings to English. If that doesn't help, please post your debug.err file. This can be found in your program files/stardock/totalgaming/galciv2 folder.

LoneWolf0912, Do you have a saved game that reproduces this problem. It has been reported to us before, but I haven't reproduced it yet. If you or anyone has a game that does this, please send it to gc2bugs@stardock.com. Or if you know steps to reproduce it, please share them here. Thank you.
