The zip file contains the file/folder structure. Extract the file to your /program files/stardock/totalgaming/galciv2 folder. This will place the file into your /galciv2/gfx/models folder. I will change the wording in the instructions above.

I have a feeling it is the sphere.x file in galciv2/gfx/models that is causing the problem. If you installed from a CD, please try this: 1. Uninstall the game 2. Reinstall version 1.0 (from the CD) 3. Copy your sphere.x file from galciv2/gfx/models to your desktop 4. Update to version 1.2 5. Please open your Options menu and uncheck the "Use Mods" checkbox. Do you still have the problem? Deleting prefs.ini will set your settings to default, but I believe this option is ON by default.

These are actually part of an Example mod, not the base game. You need to select the mod folder for Example mod. Open your Options menu. Make sure the "Use Mods" option is checked. Hit the Change button under "Mods Folder" section Browse to /My Documents/My Games/Galciv2/Example Mode Hit Done Quit the game and restart Then the mod will be enabled.

Please try deleting your prefs.ini file in my documents/my games/galcvi2 folder. This will reset your settings to defaults. If that does not help, please post your debug.err file.

Please send your saved game and debug.err file to gc2bugs@stardock.com like was mentioned above. Please also include a link back to this forum thread. Thank you.

Once you hit the Delete button, that design is removed from the game so it shouldn't pop up again. There is no need to restart the game in order to prevent ships from showing up. Yes, reloading a saved game

Darth Griffin, I'm not sure what you mean by the Delete button not working. I just started a new game and designed a ship, hit the Delete button to delete it. It went away. I then exitted the game and restarted it up again. I started a new game and the ship design was not there. I checked my ships folder and the file wasn't there. The buttons work like this: Obsolete - Removes the ship from the list for the current game. New games will restore the ship to the lis

Try turning down your anti-aliasing setting in the Options menu (under Video section). You can also view the tutorials full-screen (with versions later than 1.0x) and that plays them a lot smoother for many people who experienced this same problem.
