Which game are you referring to? Mike
milksama
Please do the following within Impulse: -Cancel your download -Click the blue menu button in the upper left -Choose 'Preferences...' -Click the 'Reset Data' button -Close impulse and relaunch it. You may notice a long update time, which is normal as it is rebuilding the deleted info. -Attempt your download again Does this help the situation? Mike
It may be possible the icon images those icons on your dock are pointing to no longer exist. Try right clicking them, and setting the properties. Do you see the proper icon image there? Mike
No "and then!"
Well, there are two icons, do I lost anything by starting Entrenchment instead of vanilla Sins of a Solar Empire? I guess I'm used to one exe for other games and their expansions...

No, you don't lose a thing. Entrenchment just adds onto the vanilla game.
Yep, you will find we do all our titles the same way -- each new expansion builds onto what its predecessor had to offer, so you only have delicious features to gain :) Mike
Quoting joasoze, reply 5just a thought! And dont focus on me calling it karma. I couldt think of a better name. Maybe "Mana" or "Essence". That would be a good way to balance the spell creation system. Have it cost Essence to create spells. The stronger the spell, the more effects or attributes you add to the spell, the more Essence it costs.
That's what i was thinking...a similar approach to the spell-creation syste
CarGuy1: Be sure to take a look at some of the other Sysinternals apps, too. I've got them on every one of my computers -- they are just too useful. Tcpview is another great one, as is psexec :) Mike
heavenlysynn: May I invite over you for a swim in the stardock pond? Mike
It's sounds like this mod just needs updating for compatibility with the latest build of Entrenchment. I would suggest contacting the mod's author. Mike
Good Idea: Passing on having a wife.
Quoting morpheas768, reply 97What about Thief? (i havent played it so i am just asking) It's status as an RPG is debatable, in my opinion, though certainly a solid game overall.
I second that -- it's not so much an RPG as it is just a very strategic FPS; excellent game, nonetheless. Ultima Underworld Mike
That seems like a valid request. You're referring to having a rule able to be specified in regards to an absolute value of time, rather than relative? Mike
My guess on what you've experienced would be purely a hardware problem. From the sounds of how the laptop was heating to extreme temperatures at the point of where the video card was located is an indicator to me that it's possible the gpu fan might've failed and therefore lost a preventive measure to becoming overheated and damaging hardware. Another good indicator that something is failing hardware-wise is when you reformat and install Windows and the system starts slowing down agai
If you're still having a problem with this, please email support@stardock.com Mike
No, because it actually gives me a break from the computer. Don't you hate it when DST is implemented?
I've looked around, but am unfortunately not able to find that particular build available. Hang in there and a future build should hopefully have see functionality again :) SDC is strictly limited to restoring archives, so the archiving feature will unfortunately not work. You may still be able to relocate your install manually, however. Mike
I would suggest submitting an email to support@stardock.com Mike
I would suggest clicking the blue menu button, going to "Preferences" and changing the folder for temporary files to another drive, if possible. If you're still having a problem at this point, please send an email to support@stardock.com Mike
If you do ever order any MyColors themes from https://www.stardock.com/products/mycolors (or other Stardock products, for that matter) and need your serial numbers, you can put your email address into the form at https://www.stardock.com/support and submit it to have everything emailed to you. Mike
Yeah, I'm not really sure what kind of experience you would expect using ObjectZip on an OS beyond XP, as it became obsoleted some time ago now. I would suggest 7-Zip, it's a great archiver: http://sourceforge.net/projects/sevenzip/ Mike
I wouldn't say so... I mean you'd need DesktopX to get any use out of these plugins anyway :) Mike
You (or anyone else with DesktopX) may also feel free to email support@stardock.com to request these plugins. Mike
Impulse is not supported in XP x64, though I'm not quite sure SDC will be fully functional either (not explicitly listed as supported on this platform). Stardock Central will be unable to download anything from servers, but may still be used to restore archives (much like its predecessor, Component Manager). So whether this will be of use to you depends upon what you are trying to install. Mike
Which OS are you running? If you hold the Windows key and press R (to bring up the "Run" dialog) and type desktop. Do your icons show up here? Are you using any other customization applications? Mike
