Found a workaround...sort of. If I click on comments after the failure, I can get the download icon from the browser itself. Kind of a Micky Mouse work around but it works that way :(

I tried first reinstalling on top yesterday, which was a no no. I then uninstalled SDC using Programs and Features, Vista uninstall, then reinstalled and have the failures. I will try the bat file, and a reinstall. And yes, I did redownload the file from your source for th latest SDC setup, when I tried this last night.
did you try refreshing xml data or changing servers?
I just tried this after looking and finding these options and it is still a no go. The data downloaded when I refreshed and I switched from US1 to US2 server. Still fails download. Very strange since I never had these issues in the past. This is on a Vista 32 bit system with no other issues.

I am logged into Stardock central. Under Skins and Themes I can click and update any library but every download ends up in a status failed. My subscription is current. I have tried turning off any Anti Virus. I can see all the various icons and descriptions but every attempt to download ends up with the message that the download failed. Staus Failed shows next to any icon I try to download ,and failed to download appears in the bottom status bar. I am properly logged into Stardock Central applet

OK...my apologies to all re-thread drift, The following is based on my own individual testing of Ghost 12 and Drive Snapshot. My PC is configured with two 150GB 10,000RPM SATA WD Raptor Drives setup RAID 0. I also have two older Maxtor SATA drives in my box 250GB each, 7200RPM (but going on 4 years old ). Lastly, an old WD 500GB My Book External USB HDD and to round it out, my IPOD 60GB Video Music player. I add t

I think it's time to find a qualified repair facility, or someone by your side that can help. Without diagnostic abilities such as the XP recovery console, or a CD that can be booted to read your HDD, not much more I can offer here. Sorry for the bind. I will check back later this afternoon when I get home. IF...you can find something to use to help us here, then possibly this can get figured out, but right now, I would say the operating system is shot. Hopefully you have some sort of data backu

OK, sounds now more like the OS is hosed and the HDD is OK, based on the restore CD wanting to continue. I have to run out real soon, so if you can quickly tell me, since it's hard to re-read this whole thread quickly, do you have backups of your data files, or are you going to be bad off, to simply start over. Depending on what type of XP CD you have, will be what your ability here to achieve now. Mike from SD supportm asked to try the fixboot and fix MBR commands from booting from a C

My humble opinion is the HDD is toast. Nothing to do with installation causing this either. If a HDD is going to go, it's simply going to happen at the most in-opertune time. If he can only get into the BIOS setup, this pretty much tells me the HDD is gone. If he can get into the BIOS setup, there should be some sort of HDD information there supporting whether or not the disk is good. Another simple test would be to run the restore CD believe it or not, just to see if it even recognizes

Hi, Go here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/304449 Start up in safe mode command prompt and simply type rstrui and hit enter. Then pick a time to use a restore point from BEFORE the WB install, IF...you believe it to be the root of your issues. Sounds like a failing HDD to me. Mark
