Today I received an update message on two machines. I updated to version 2.7.0.3 on both machines. When I re-checked updates, the update message came up again on both machines. One is a desktop with Asus M/B. The other is a notebook from HP (Hewlett-Packard). This is the updated file: <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/21/81/2181182/7baa3965-90d2-411d-8469-0d6230c521e1.jpg" alt="" width="1017" height="802" /

Thank you very much for your prompt response. It is appreciated. I will first try the re-activation shortcut I mentioned above when I am asked to re-activate. If this is an easy and effective solution, I will go with that. I may even put the shortcut in Windows startup folder. When Windows starts, the shortcut is run. Otherwise, I will try your solution. Happy computing. Regards

The below screenshot shows my activated Start 11. The below screenshot shows when Activation popup window appears. As you can see, a new button appears below About button on the Start 11 settings page, Buy Start11 (or Purchase Start11, I don't know what word is used in the English version of Start11) <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/foru

No, I don't use any 3rd-party cleanup tools. I very rarely use Microsoft Windows Cleanmgr.exe. This is independent of my using Cleanmgr.exe. I haven't used Cleanmgr.exe in weeks. But this Start 11 popup activation window is appearing sometimes (not always) when I switch from one Windows 11 to the other on the same exact PC. Both Windows 11 installations share the same exact components, e.g. CPU, GFX card, M/B, etc. except Windows installations are on different disk drives. The disk drives are

Thanks for your response. There is no message except for the usual Start 11 activation popup window. When the product key is not available, I click no for activation request. Then popup window asks me if I want to uninstall Start 11, I click No and Start 11 does not run until I enter my product key. I am using a different key for each installation. I don't use 3rd party cleanup tools. I very rarely use Windows cleanmgr.exe. This situation happens when I switch from one Windows

Hi. I have dual-boot Windows 11 installation on my Desktop PC. Both Windows installtions are at the same versions and builds (Windows 11 25H2 and build 26200.8039). They both have Start 11 v.2 installations. They have different Start 11 Product Keys and they are both activated. Sometimes when I switch from one Windows installation to the other, I am asked to activate Start 11 again. I enter the Product Key and my e-mail, Start 11 is activated readily. But this

Hi. Thank you very much for your prompt responses. Much too appreciated. Microsoft will in time correct the issue and improve the behavior of Windows 11, I believe. Regards

Thanks for your response. I once enabled Enhanced taskbar. This caused taskbar far left weather widget to disappear. When I understood this issue was caused by enhanced taskbar, I disabled Enhanced taskbar. Now no enhanced taskbar. The following screenshot shows the far left weather widget. Have a nice weekend.

Hi all. I have tansparent Taskbar and Start11 v.2.51 was installed when it was released. After I have installed Windows Update KB5052093 to make Windows 11 build 26100.3321, I observed this problem: Some Taskbar Icons disappeared after Windows went into sleep mode and then I woke it up. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/21/

Hi there. I have Start11 v2 installed on Windows 11 build 22631.3527. This is Windows 11 version 23H2. I start Start 11 v2 and go to About page for checking if there is an update, Start11 tells me there is an update. I download and install the update, but the version number does not change. I recheck if there is an update, Start11 tells me again there is an update. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/21/81/2181182/fd32dc27-9142-4dd7-a5cc-244e91121544.jpg" alt="Start11 Abo

@Neil Banfield, Thank you for the clarification. Your solution is correct, partly. If I select the choice as shown in the picture, the Start Menu button moves to the far left end of taskbar but Search button disappears. In my case, Start Menu button and Search button both moved to the far left of taskbar. Besides, I said I did not change any setting. I was just browsing through the settings pages. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.u

@Neil Banfield, Hi. I am sorry I couldn't understand your solution. I said I didn't touched anything in Settings pages. Assuming I did something without knowing, could you please let me know which setting I should have touched. This is what you posted:" ... It sounds like you have set start11 to centre taskbar buttons but not the start button.... " P

@Basj, Thank you very much for your prompt response. I ran the .bat file and it re-installed the Start11 app. Everything's fine now. After installation, I activated the product. After activation, the activation window asked for activation a second time. But that was it. Regards

Hi all. I installed new version ( v1.01 ) of Start11 and my Start Menu buttons went crazy after several hours of use. I have been using middle-position of Start Menu. I restarted my desktop PC but the anomaly continued. Start Menu button and Search icon separated from the rest of the middle-position icons. Now I cannot put all icons back in the middle position. Please note this happened after I opened Start11 configuration app but did not make any chang

Hi. I feel the same choppiness, hardly though, when opening Start Menu of Start11 on Windows 10 ( middle position ). It is not an annoyance but I confirm the issue in an attempt to make the product better for future updates. Start Menu on Windows 11 without Start11 opens very smoothly. It's just like gliding frictionlessly in the air. By the way, my monitor works at 60 Hz. Regards

" Why would you want 11? it seems like a downgrade " This is your opinion and I believe you may have reasons. Normally, the progress is in the upgrade ( forward ) direction. For example, the cars you see on the roads today, the TV sets you watch today are not the same as the ones ten years ago. Software is the same.

Hi. Thank you for your valuable contribution to my thread. Your point is duly noted. Stardock engineers should know very well what styles are preferred by Start10 users. I am sure they can add another Windows 11 style by the other three styles including your preferred Modern Style if they decide to accept my suggestion. Currently my PC does not meet hardware requirements of Windows 11 due to lack of some components, such as TPM. But I am running Windows 11 on m

Hi all. I would very much like to have a Windows 11 Style Menu arrangement in Style page of Start10. This is to make Windows 10 look like Windows 11. If needed, Modern Style may be removed from the Style page to make room for Windows 11 Start Menu item. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/21/81/2181182/b775ca78-9654-4595-bb63-

Thank you very much for your answer. I do not have anti-virus software, just Windows Defender. I do not observe any viral activity in my computer. Anyway, if another request is made by Start10 as to repeat activation in the future, I will advise.
