I love everything about Start11 v2. However, there is one feature I'd like to see, if possible. I'd like the ability to interact with the Recycle Bin through an icon on the taskbar so I can have a nice, clean desktop. Of course, it would only work when the option for Start11 to control the taskbar is enabled.

I'm using Start11 2.0 Beta 1.01. I have it configured to use the Modern style with automatic color selection. I've noticed that hovered items have low contrast between the text color and background color. If I use the option to override the item selection highlight, it only affects submenus such as "Universal Applications" and "Control Panel".
If you have v1 installed, v2 will replace it. Also, it will appear in your downloads once you activate it for the first time.
I just upgraded to Start11 2.0 Beta 1 on Windows 10 22H2. I've noticed an issue with jump lists. The "Recent" and "Pinned" sections do not appear in the jump lists. Here is Remote Desktop Connection's jump list in Start11 v2: Here is the same jump list in the default Windows Start Menu: <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/21/6/2106385/7
I'm using the Windows 7 style.
I've noticed an issue with version 1.24 of Start11 regarding pinning items to the menu. I'm using Windows 10 Pro build 19041. If I perform a search and select "Pin to Start Menu (Start11)" from the context menu of one of the items, the item does not get pinned. However, if I navigate the All Programs menu to find the item and attempt to pin it, it works as expected. I have Start11 configured to use the classic search results format. It works as expected when
I just tried it and got an error message. The error message was just a generic one and did not provide any details about what went wrong, though.
Seeing as it's a "Server Error", using a different browser won't change anything.
I'm setting up a new installation of Windows 11, and one thing I cannot live without is Start11. When I attempted to login to my account on the web-site in order to access my downloads and keys, I got the error shown in the screenshot below. I was able to workaround it by accessing my account from a different PC on which I was already logged
As far as I know, programs have to be recompiled to target the ARM architecture before they'll run on Windows on ARM. I have Windows 11 running in a VMWare Fusion VM on an Intel Mac and Start11 runs fine there.
I'm running Start11 Version 1.1 on Windows 10 Build 19044.1466. I've noticed something that's not a show-stopper, but is kind of annoying. The pin button for items in the jump lists look the same whether or not an item is pinned. You can see this in the following two screenshots. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/21/6/2
Is there a way to disable showing recently installed apps for the Windows 7 style menu? I don't see that option listed. I've verified that I'm using version 0.91.
I followed those directions and the orphaned item is still there with no way to remove it. In my opinion, the fact that it doesn't check for the existence of the item the shortcut points to when right-clicking is a bug. EDIT: I tried just clicking on the orphaned item and Start10 popped up a dialog asking me if I wanted to remove the non-existent item.
Whenever I right-click the highlighted pinned item in the screenshot below in order to remove it, Start10 stops responding and I have to reboot my PC. Is there another way to remove that orphaned pinned item?
Hello, I'm using version 1.15 of Start8 and I noticed an issue with the option to disable the translucency of the taskbar. I regularly log into my home PC from work through RDP. When I do, my home PC is automatically locked as if I had hit Win+L. When I unlock my PC after getting back home, the taskbar is back to being translucent. When I check the Start8 options, the setting to disable the transparency of the taskbar is still checked.
