:( Am a little bit disappointed. All the dual monitor Dreams have to be extra purchased. Not used to that by stardock. At least one could have been shipped with DS. Specially when u have OD Ultimate.
thanks so far, Will post when i know more
Waiting for the release for DS on XP, which should be soon. Some questions with DS ahead: 1. How does it work with Dualscreen? 2. Does it stretch over both monitors? 3. Can i run 1 DS on each Monitor. or DS on Mon1, wallpaper on Mon2? 4. Any problems with Ultramon? I run Ultramon as my Dual Monitor manager. 5. Or it doesnt work at all, and i dont need to bother install because i will only have a big crash :(
@Seabass, thats awesome. [e digicons]:grin:[/e]
I do have experience in Vista. I was running it for some time. Even still have it on my virtual machine. I am not just joining the anti-hype. Also my machine has no problem running Ultimate, and this on a virtual machine :) I dont like the interface, i dont like the coding, i think it wastes resources, it can not do much more than my XP, but uses up much more resources. And a lot of apps i was using for work happen to fail under Vista. Also simply the fact that they giv
Just a general question I remember when Stardock was advertising about Impulse, in Deskscaped was also written that it will support WinXP, in the future. I was pretty happy about that, because i could have animated wallpapers, without using an OS that i definetely disklike. Is this development still in progress? Or did Stardock stop it. Since the launch of Impulse i never saw anything about it.
TXS for the tip. but no luck by using re-activate
Got the same problem with the last update which i just put on five min ago. After the update some desktop files icons changed back. So i tried by right click -> properties -> icon, to change it. But as soon as i hit apply in the end, i get the same activation error. I was using Impulse to update. Did not had a problem until five minutes ago. I ran SC, to do a activation, but did no good. And also, i never saw a activation option in Impulse like in SC. Is there none? Or is it hidden somewher

XP Home Pro. And i used Impulse Did it already. Uninstall, Cleaning, Reinstall. Worked this time. Still im unused to have those kinds of problems with stardock updates. Dont think the download was corrupted as in this case there should have been an error during installation. Anyhow its running again.
Just applied the newest WB-Update. rebooted. Now i get the message. " this machine must be rebooted atfer installing this version of wb6. if u have rebooted and still get this message, you need to disable any regisrty protection,...." 1. i did reboot, message still appears 2. my anit-V, ant-Spy, was off during installation, and also during boot process, didnt help 3. as alternative you can prees additional process button, which will make wb use more memory, but
Sry. Perhaps i should have written more precise. Of course dont delete the Stardock folder. But delete the Sound Package folders in the Stardock folders. -->check c:\documents settings (for SP folders)
Never mind. Figured it out already. And SP is working again @daygo here is what i did 1. Uninstall SP 2. Make Disc Cleanup (temporary files, etc) not sure if this step is actually necessary 3. When using My Computer for file managment, check show hidden files (cuz there are still some left) check c:\documents settings (for SP folders) * All users\application data\stardock * All users\shared documents\stardock * Username\application data\stard
Hi Andrew, thanks for your detailed reply I was able to restore my Messenger. Using Revo Uninstaller, manually deleting all keys, manually deleting all left overs (Application Data, Local Settings). But back to the first problem. Where everything started. My SP still crashes at load up. Any solution for this? It all happened after the update. SP was running just fine before. Now as soon as SP starts up and tries to load up the sound packages it crashes. I`m no
:( No good news. You also had the problem with Messenger?
Not happy with SP. After the uninstall reinstall it most have killed my Messenger Sounds. My messenger sounds dont work anymore. Its all mute. But the sounds are still there and i can play them (all options are checked etc, and the sounds are enabled, its not a problem of this) But when i check the registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER\AppEvents\Schemes\Apps\MSNMSGR\ there is a stardock SP entry. So im pretty sure this problem is connected with SP. Also when u look at the ti
I tried uninstall, (with restart, reg clean, etc) and reinstall, nothing really helped.
The same Problem here. Just wanted to post about it. Sound packager was working fine before, now i always get an error message when starting it up, and needs to be closed. Running XP
@bichur txs. deleting the files was the problem. i actually deleted them, but they had been still in the folder. and only got deleted from the logon menu. Works like a charm after deleting. :CONGRAT:
i didnt. but i also gave the repack a different name perhaps thats the problem. i`ll try and see.
which old one u mean? the bmp i replaced? no. just replaced it.
or because of the change? But the background file is exactly the same name, bmp, image size, values, just that it looks different
My second try was (using white system) 1. Extract the logon file 2. Exchanging the bmp (i didnt rename it, just replaced it) 3. Create logonxp file using Winrar Now when i try to load it using logon, i get "unable to open file" where is the mistake? In the repacking?
ahh ok. thanks
