Newest Wb Update, WB wont load anymore

Just applied the newest WB-Update. rebooted.

Now i get the message.

" this machine must be rebooted atfer installing this version of wb6. if u have rebooted and still get this message, you need to disable any regisrty protection,...."

1. i did reboot, message still appears
2. my anit-V, ant-Spy, was off during installation, and also during boot process, didnt help
3. as alternative you can prees additional process button, which will make wb use more  memory, but may resolve the problem
     A)  I dont like the choice (even when i have 4 gigs of ram)
     B) Nether the less i choose it (after my third reboot), Didnt help at all. Rebooted two more times, Still no luck

My WB isnt loading at all. When i try to start manually i get the message above, And after the install my skin got reseted to Windows Classic, which i cant even change now.

Solutions?
Or do I need to unisntall/reinstall WB completely?
Properly. Am not that happy. Recently Stardock products are not that stable anymore (always had been a big fan). Just couple of days my Sound Packager Update, messed  up everything too.


I used impulse for the install.
By the way is there a possibility to set a default instal directory (in impulse)  like i could in SDC?

0cRz0, I would use Impulse, uninstall, run a clean up program like CCleaner, reboot and reinstall using Impulse and reboot. I have been using Impulse for updates since it has come out and have not had problems. As a side note I have never had to turn off my anti-viruse or anti-spyware for downloads to work.

I'm on an XP Home system.

It sounsd as though your download didn't work right, might have gotten corrupted.

What OS are you running?

XP Home Pro. And i used Impulse

Did it already. Uninstall, Cleaning, Reinstall. Worked this time.

Still im unused to have those kinds of problems with stardock updates. Dont think the download was corrupted as in this case there should have been an error during installation.

Anyhow its running again.

0cRz0 sorry, just getting back here.

I've seen posts here where the download has gotten messed up and you won't get an error message.

Uninstalling and reinstalling usually corrects most problems.

Make sure that when you do the reinstall that you use Impulse. To be on the safe side clear the XML data as well. Do this by hitting the "?" help button, XML Public, then delete everything in that folder and restart.
