Reply to Patch v1.4x: Overall Ranking Miscalculation in Bug Reports GalCiv2 Forums

I have noticed that my population is not being calculated properly along with the other races. For instance in one game I had 300,000 population at one point but during the United Planets voting thing it said my population was double what it was. I think that I also had the largest population in the game but the UP said that the Altarians (Sp?) had 1,600,000. That was way to many people for that stage of the game. Any suggestions?

Hey Stardock team, I was playing with the 1.4RC version which I updated to today and there were a few gliches that I wanted to mention. The first was when I was cycling through the alien races on the diplomacy screen (the one with the animated pics) and it brought up the Terrans who I was playing as. I never play with the Arceans which is a bonus because I also play as yellow. I do get really confused with the Korx and the Iconians when they end up next to each other. Grey and white just blend on my laptop screen. Ah well, and excuse to "gently" eradicate them I suppose...

I had just set up a number of trade routes with the Drengin after the Yor declared war and I believe that I was moving a ship at the time of the crash. Let me know if you need any more info. Cheers.

Personally I don't mind if the AI takes a while. It is not a problem. It would be good if there was a pop up screen that explained the delay if there were mulitple updates: "Your opponents are upgrading their ship designs. Please be patient. Your head will be handed to you soon."

This are some questions and suggestions mainly for Stardock and its excellent staff but feel free to add your own opinions. While playing on a large map with seven other races at painful, being evil for the first time ever, i found myself in a relatively weak position. Somehow during the course of the game I had neglected to build manufacturing planets. The only one I had was my home world with two manufacturing bonuses (700% + 300%). What a disapointing game I had last night in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to why this happened... Last night I played a sandbox game: huge, seven other races at tough. All races had the same intelligence, gifted I think and I had Tech Victory off as well as Tech trading off and blind exploration on. Habitable planets were abundant, oh and Tech research was set to slow. I grabbed a handful of planets early on and and continued to get a few more every two turns. New Tech Tree in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

I have created a simple one page Tech Tree JPEG that combines both the "Weapons & Defence" and "Diplomacy, Propulsion, & Engineering" charts on the same page. Oh dear, it's happened again... in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

I know I posted this issue a while ago but Firefox (1.0.2) gets all excited when I open a tab. I accidentally uninstalled AlienGUIse and had to reinstall the Darkstar suite. No big problem there. When I went to use Firefox and opened a tab it started jumping up and down. I tried reinstalling Firefox 1.0.2 again to see if it would clear the prob but no luck. Should I go back to 1.0.1 or is that too risky? Does anybody know a fix or has anybody had simil

While I agree that it is pretty cool, who wants to see the wall behind the moniter? Who wants the person sitting opposite you on the train to see all your files as you work? And what about Desktop Customisation!? No wallpaper apart from the stuff on the walls. Argh! No, i'm happy with mine thanks. But it is cool.

Not always. I used the Alienware suite and it changed my pic to their logo. No matter how many times I changed it back the suite would always revert back to the logo. I went into the files and renamed the pic I wanted to the name of the logo. It worked for me. Be aware that there was more than one to rename though. I think in this suite there were three.
