Wow! Both great Icons. If you could combine the two... maybe... i'm not sure how it works. If the cross were in the center of Koasati's circle with the droplet over the top of the cross but just under the T bar that would be incredible. And if the droplet were a red, ie blood, oh man, an Icon to be proud of! If that is okay with you both. I know it is more work... Thanks!

Hey SD. Thanks for replying. Yours is one of the Icons that I see and like! I'm pretty new to the site and I only downloaded GIMP today to try practising on pics to make logons and stuff, so 4 months is way ahead of me! What program do you use?

If it happens again try startig in safe mode then running msconfig and disabling stuff (technical huh!) from there. May be ask an admin what is safe to switch off. The latest things installed should be the last checked things on the list. After that you could easily uninstall them. Hope it helps.

So i'm sitting at home after trying to persuade my wife what a good idea it would be to buy OD or at least Window Blinds (coz we are poor students) when I found myself looking at some of the personal icons. I really have no shred of artistic ability in my bones, but I would really like a personal icon that has meaning to my name. So today I tried playing Ghost Recon right. The game just died on me and there was I thinking that perhaps it was something that I had installed recently. I couldn't get GR to work properly so I bit the bullet and did a complete reformat of the hard drive. Man what a difference!!! Everybody shoud do it! In msconfig I must have had thirty or so items under the startup

Thanks for the advice! I'm reading these forums and most people reformatted their hard drive when they received there computers. Mine is a year old so I'm gonna do that first then buy OD. Does anyone know is it slows the system down much? I want to do home video editing on mine. Would I need to shut OD down before doing this?

I would say (and I could be wrong) that you would need to check with the manufacturer on the form factor of the card in your laptop. I want to upgrade mine but Dell (Love 'em!) says that there are no cards that would physically fit in mine. Dell are thinking along the lines of laptop upgrade-ability with the new systems.
