Hi again Frankell, I can see you are well into animation, your name has popped up in the Firefox APNG 1.4 add-on site. I have a question for you if you don't mind. I think its a shame there is not support for .gif animations but what can you do? Creating an animated (A)png is proving more difficult than I expected. I have an animation comprising 60 frames. A Mercedes Benz rotating star. Originally a .avi then a .gif both work equally well. To get the .gif animation converted to a

Hi Frankell, Y'know, it all seems so obvious now. After trying DaveRI's suggestion I couldn't see any reference to 'New "Animated Shortcut" Docklet'. It just wasn't an option. As i said previously to Bichur I had Anishortcut.dll located in C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock and also in C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock\Bundled Images\Misc Icons where Globe.png lives. For some reason I had moved all my docklets to this folder as far as I can remember - to synchronise wit

Hi Bichur, I've tried the .PNG spinning globe, along with others and what is displayed is the image with all the frames, but it does not animate. Anishortcut.dll is located in the same folder and - just in case - is also located in C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock. So what am I going wrong, if all you guys get at least the spinning globe to work? I've tried .PNG, .GIF and .AVI but still nothing. What is it that triggers the animation itself?

I've created several shortcuts in OD Plus (1.9.535) and given them animated GIFs but can't get them to work. Am I understanding this correctly, the shortcut requires an animated GIF only which will animated on mouseover? There are no other settings I can find to distinguish these animated shortcuts from a static shortcut. Or have I got it completely wrong again. All the GIFs do animate incidentally.

Gentlemen, thank you for your quick replies. I was too busy concentrating on the "align left - Centred - Align right" slider I totally missed the "Keep right on edge - Keep far from edge" slider above. Of course it works you were quite right. Thanks very much for your help.

The version of Objectdock is Plus 1.90.535. It is true that in "Spacing & Alignment" with the "Automatic distance from the edge" unchecked it is possible to position the dock pretty much anywhere on the chosen edge, and for the left/right arrow adjustment to move the dock pixel by pixel. However it does not permit movement away from the edge itself. On a dock positioned at the foot of the screen it will permit left and right adjustment but not up/down. The up or</em

How can I offset a dock from the edge of the screen? I want the dock to be set about 2mm or 10 pixels from the edge. Is this possible? Adjusting the image to be offset does not work as Objectdock appears to sense the bottom of the image and fits the dock to the edge of the screen accordingly. I want the dock to appear to 'float' above the bottom of the screen. Advice appreciated.

Thanks gentlemen. Objectdock is not standalone. There are a number of other Stardock products on my machine. I've never heard of the Zapper so, as suggested I backed up what I considered the important folders/files and wiped the Objectdock folder, files and all registry items (close on two hundred) with Registry Crawler (a very useful tool but dangerous in the wrong hands). I downloaded and installed a fresh copy of Objectdock and the problem of the disappearing Taskbar has now gone. Tha

I have a corrupted version of Objectdock. For some reason the XP (Pro) Taskbar started to disappear after booting up. I tracked it down to when Objectdock loaded at Startup. I disabled it and found the Taskbar didn't disappear any longer. I'm not certain exactly which OD component is corrupted but I thought I'd uninstall OD anyhow and re-install it. I can't however find how to uninstall OD. I don't want to entirely remove the folders and registry entries - there are a great deal but I could d

Just before I downloaded a raft of new Codecs I went through every .Dream I had and many of them didn't work either. I couldn't believe every one of the .Dreams would stop working practically overnight. The one thing I remembered had changed was the installation of Silverlight. I removed that and still nothing. <span style="font-size: x-small; font-family: tahoma,arial,helvetica,sans-se

Why do some dreams (e.g Sandbar, Bars, Matrixrainish, Early Morning) result in a black screen with no animation at all? If the Dream resolution is larger than the screen resolution will the Dream fail or will it be adjusted with a new screen ratio?. I think the latter is correct since some dreams look like they are fitted to a different screen ratio.

You are quite correct. You can't run Dreamscape on an XP machine. My mistake. I gave the wrong machine's configuration. In fact the machine I am talking about is my laptop. Here is the correct config: Sony VAIO VGN-FW11S - 2.4gigahertz Core 2 Duo P8400 processor with ATI Mobility Radeon graphics and Windows Vista Home Premium. OK, so its got a pair of 64bit processors but again, my original comments are the same. This machine won't make Dreams run any faster, its clear now that

Pixeleo, I don't think my machine's spec is particularily different from most these days but, for what its worth here it is :- Sony PCV-RZ422 - 3.00 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4 1.5g Memory - 800MHz Frontside Bus NVidia GeForce FX5200 graphics chip with 128 mb DDR SDRAM Windows XP SP2 See? Nothing special at all. I'm begining to think these 'dreams' I have refered to have been built too fast. All other dreams are working fine, at a reasonable pace. Ot

Several dreams I have downloaded from WC are far too fast (e.g. ColourfulSpaceMix, WakeupSun and others). They are over is just a few seconds. Pretty much all the others are OK so, how do I slow some of the fast ones down. Is there somewhere, someway I can change the fps as it appears to be set too high?
