Yeah thanks alot. I downloaded the icons and then used icon packager to change the folder icon to the batfolder icon. After changing the icon I now need to use command prompt to open my folders. Yeah real smart idea downloading these useless turds.

Thanks Night Train. I had tried that before, did it again about five minutes ago and no luck. There remains a hideous glow around the log off buttons and cancel button images.
I need a little help and or advice on how to proceed. The issue is the log off screen does not skin the log off buttons properly, it does not skin the " magic pink " surrounding the edges of the buttons. On the other hand my shutdown screen functions properly and skins the "magic pink". Both sets of buttons are using proper pink, both sets of buttons have identical code, both shut downdown and logoff images are using identical code. Yet for some reason upon use of the logoff image the buttons

None of the cursorxp versions have worked properly no matter what machine I install them on. It doesn't matter if I run two graphics cards or an excellent cpu. The only thing that works properly is shutting them off and running defaults. Does anyone think another updated version is going to run properly? Cursorxp is a flawed product.
Lets face it cursorxp is a flawed product. I had the same problem when cursorxp first came out a few years ago. I have a much better computer now built with excellent video cards ( yes cards ) I decided to try cursorxp again. Same problem as before. Cursorxp is a flawed product. I am going to uninstall the piece of crap and move on.
During the winter. There was talk of a new version release in the spring. It's fall now and still no release. I just wonder where the new release is.

Reply number one best decribes this business of skinning. Try running any skin you create for a couple of weeks too. I agree that you should wait until skin studio 6 is released. Start off using that version and with your understanding of photoshop the only real limitation you might have would be lack of imagination, which doesn't sound likely. Have fun and enjoy skinning at four am.
The test version forgets photoshop as primary editor. Also I want to know if the new version will allow skinners to skin content margins. My version of skin studio allows me to tweak those adjustments by the number, this test version does not. I also like theme part details, that section has to be great for a newcomer.
vStyler. For what it's worth. I've been away from the computer all week and it has been shut off. This afternoon I fired it up and my skin is working the way it is supposed to. I can't explain it because I tried the same approach last weekend. Rebooting wasn't helping and yet this time it worked. I still think it has to do with the beta version being a little buggy.

I always do item mouseover images in png format, for what it's worth I've been skinning off and on since 2001. I did save the skin in SS5 and then reopened it in SS6. Everything is where it is supposed to be with one exception. Windowblinds 6 is not allowing those images to appear. This is begining to smell bad like previous versions of windowblinds. Like not being able to skin MDI buttons in Wb5, it now appears that you will not be able to skin item mouseover and logoff backgrounds in WB6. Hope
Fuzzy logic. I can see the sections just fine in SS6. Item mouseover images aren't displayed once you apply the skin to wb6 beta. Nor are logoff background images and logoff button images displayed. Only the logoff/turn off computer icons are displayed.
Kitty Malone. Bear in mind that this version is SS6 as I mentioned. Apparently SS6 does not allow the skinning of item mouseover. But this may also be an issue with windowblinds since the section in SS6 does show an image present and avaiable for resizing,coloring etc etc. It may be a bug in WB6 beta. I hope this is this case.

I'm wondering if I have to purchase vista so that I can enjoy the new versions of skinstudio and WB. I realize these are beta versions, however skins created with an original version of SS aren't working very well with these updated versions. "SIGH" Tip my hat to stardock tech support. They actually returned my phone call after lunch. How cool is that?
sorry but that is a test version. The real thing was supposed to be released last spring. I'm wondering when the real version will be released.
I thought we were supposed to get a new version of skin studio in the spring. Here it is a step away from fall and no new version. I see the guys at stardock are tripping over themselves getting the latest windowblinds out and about. The truth is I've stopped skinning until the new version of skin studio is released. I let my subscription expire, you said it would be spring.
