Why do you insist on subscribers writing the instructions to skin studio, why can't the creators of skin studio write the instructions? Would General Motors ask the consumer to write the owners manuel? You put out a new version of Skin studio and windowblinds and leave the on line tutorials to someone else and the ones you have now are outdated and cover the basics only. Skoriginal, I stand behind my statement.............Stardock needs to update the tutorials and make it so every aspect of skinning windowblinds is covered. Who decided it should be up to the customer to lay out instructions. The "COMMUNITY"?? I apologize to rkko3, none of this is instructive, Good luck rkko3, scour the internet I guess. There seems to be no end to aftermarket tutorials.

You should also take note, the tutorials on line say nothing about the new features in windowblinds five, nor do they give you information on how to create avi's nor is there any mention of how to skin extra item images. I could go on but the tutorial is outdated. I've been ranting and raving about updating the damn tutorials but who really listens. I imagine they have your money by now so do the best you can and hopefully stardock will update the tuto

I agree with admin Jafo............so what if a handfull of subscribers get screwed on weekends, we don't pay enough, we will never pay enough, it's just like taxes. If you're the one who created the program or you're a part of the team that created the program, you most certainly are an insider with advantage. Just attach a set of instructions or direct people to updated and current tutorials. These issues should have been addressed months ago at time of release.

Obviously stardock and the insiders over at skinstudio need to put out a tutorial explaining the in's and out's of skinning the new windowblinds. Insiders have an easy time skinning, obviously this is true. But stardock left out some very important people when they released the new windowblinds. Paying customers! Great........another flaw in the new shiny version of windowblinds. Stardock made money getting everyone involved in upgrading to a worthless version of windowblinds Lets see, so far you can't add sounds and you can't skin the mdi window, I guess you can't add roll up buttons either. Excellent new program, not only will it not skin mdi buttons, now it refuses to skin per pixel images of log off and shut down screens. However it does allow me to skin per pixel images of the taskbar and framesets. It will also skin per pixel images of someone else's log off and shut down images, just not mine. I've also noticed that in skin studio both sets of images can be identical in code with one exception, they are adding a Per pixel code of 1.

Please explain to the rest of the class how this new version skins mdi buttons? I haven't quite been able to skin mdi buttons using the new wonderful translucent effect. This new version doesn't seem to want to skin mdi buttons correctly.

The new version of windowblinds is working well, however it absolutly refuses to skin MDI buttons, no matter what skin is being applied, even with Mike Bryant's "cyclops" they refuse to skin. Has anyone had this problem? I've gone through all the settings and everything appears to be normal. Installed the new 5.00, so far everything is running smoothly, even downloaded a skin meant to run on the new version. I have noticed one little problem. None of the skins will "skin" the midi control buttons, even the wb skin design specific to the new version. The buttons remain loyal to the windows gui. Little square boxes. I've gone over all the settings and things look normal and like I said, both old and new skins are working properly. It's just these

This is damn interesting, first I upload a wallpaper then 24 hours later I get an email from wincustomize congradulating me that my piece has been approved and is available at the following website: https://www.wincustomize.com/viewskin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=25622&LibID=8. Then an hour later I get another email telling me unfortunatly my upload has been disapproved. I'm baffled. Make up my mind already.....geez
