Custom designed ships

Is there a way to deal with custom designed ships in the latest gamma now so you can copy designs aswell?

One of the things i do not like is that if i upgrade a design and change the name the original design is gone.

I want to be able to build on an existing design and add or change something and save onto a new design with loosing the original or to recreate the new design from scratch.

Only if i overwrite it should replace the old design with the new.

Well, currently, nothing have changed with the latest gama build. But that doesn't mean that it will change the day of the release of GC II. there will be a whole month between between the code-freeze and the relese of the game. So Stradock will have some time to put some improvements in a bonus pack that should be available the day of the release, as it was the case with GC1 I think.
