Any themes can be placed in the ObjectDock directory for themes, and then they'll be put in the dialog box for you to choose from. For me, the directory is C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock\Themes

Data Vampire: I did a search for this file on my computer and it needs to go into: c:\Program Files\Common Files\Stardock , or into the eqivalent in your setup.

Hope that will work.

Anthony Spinks: What exactly are you trying to download and install (the name of the file). There are not really a lot of "Themes" available for Object Dock. There are a mostly different backgrounds or single png-icons.

The background folders need to be placed into your ObjectDock\Backgrounds folder. While the PNG-files can be placed into a folder of your choice within your ObjectDock foler. E.g if you are downloading a heap of Office related Icons you could place them into a ObjectDock\Office folder.

Data Vampire: Sorry its me again, I just noticed that you have placed the file there already, but of course I can't edit my comment, in fact I can't even see it!! So this might not show up as well.

Now back to your problem. Is your Windows in English? If not try the following. Search for the equivalent of a "Common Files" folder in the language of your OS (it should be in the equivalent of the C:\Program Files folder). Create a new folder called "Stardock" within this folder, and place a copy of your ODImg.dll in there.

If you have an English version of Windows, the only thing I can suggest is to redownload OD. Unistall the version you have now, reboot the computer and reinstall.

Good evening everyone! Happy New Years! I'm having the same issues as the persons in posts 19, 23, and 24, by Babolene, TheAnoma1y, and Xevallah. I have a whole folder of stuff I downloaded from the Object Dock section on Win Customize and have no clue how to use any of it. I looked through as many support forums as I could find, but can't seem to find anything. I've been using Window Blinds, Desktop X, and Object Dock for all of 3 days now, and am just getting beat all to heck! Can anyone help? Please?

leeatsjt: Put that folder of icons into the ObjectDock directory in wherever it's located in C:\Program Files. Once the icons are in that directory, then OD will be able to read them.

Maybe your version of ODlmg.dll is corrupted? When you unistall OD, does it remove this file? (The version you have in your Program Files\Common Files\Stardock folder).

I did another search for this file on my computer and I found that I had a newer?? version of the same file in my Stardock\SDCentral\Backup file. If you have that as well, try renaming your current version to ODlmg.bak and move the newer version to your Program Files\Common Files\Stardock folder.

You could also try to just place the files into Program Files\Common Files.

Hi. I vaguely recall an announcement that said OD subscribers could download a beta of ObjectDock +. I can't seem to find it, however. Was my poor brain, overloaded from years of sex and drugs and rock n'roll, playing tricks on me?

crowbraid...OD+ is available on SDC under the misc. section after you purchase it. It isn't part of your ODNT subscription.

Thanks, that solves the icon issue. But I think I have something confused (duh). I don't know the exact words for them, but aren't there some sort of applications that you can use to make the dock do something else-like another function. Kind of like the weather one that connect to TWC and shows the weather. And I thought I have ObjectBar so what's the difference? Really confused! The two seem to be interchangeable. I also downloaded other stuff but I don't know what to do with it, for example, DogmaXv2_ODPlus.zip. There are 3 types of files in the zip-ini, db, png. What do I do with that? I read the "read me" and it was just a permission doc. That's what has me confused, I don't see an application. Thanks for the help, I can usually figure most stuff out easily, but this really has me going!

DogmaXv2_ODPlus.zip are new backgrounds for your ObjectDock. If you unzipp the file you should get three folders (three different Backgrounds). Just move these folders into your ObjectDock\Backgrounds folder. To apply the new backgrounds yous open your Object Dock configuration Panel and click on "Tabs and Styles (for tabbed Docks) or "Appearance" (for zooming Docks) and choose the new style from the dropdown-list.

inactive icons....I don't believe there is. Think of your desktop being built in layers, z-ordering tells your dock which layer it belongs on.

Is it possible (or in the future ?) to have a drag and drop feature on Folders ?

I would like to just drop a file on the "My documents" folder icon to copy (or move) it inside.

Is it possible ??

How can we change the icons of the process in the tray tab ??

They are all ugly.

Righclicking gives only the tray menu

I don't believe that you can since they are processes and not shortcuts. Some folks set up a separate dock for their dock trays and can then reduce the size of the icons...a 16x16 tray icon can be pretty ugly stretched out to 48x48

Left-click on your Icon and hold down the mouse button until you get a menu popping up. You can then change your Icon from there (click on "change image for this tray icon".

Hey y'all... This is a request for help with ObjectDock. Ive got the most up to date version installed etc... Thus far i have NEVER experienced an issue with it, but tonight an issue has raised its head...

I am running an OD to replace my system tray and (im using a laptop) i have replaced all the stock icons with nice shiny ones. However, i have been trying to remove the icon for the battery from the tray, and i have done so via the batteries actual settings, but it still keeps reappearing every so often. If i close OD and switch back to the normal system tray its gone, nowhere to be seen but when i start OD again it comes back. Its just a little thing but its mighty annoying me. Im close to having the perfect desktop ive always wanted and this is just not part of the plan. So if anyone could shed some light on this it would be excellent...Thank y'all a million...
