So...gonna go see Farenheit 9/11?

I'm not big on politics, but this is one movie you should spend $9.50 on. It opens in theaters tomorrow, so clear up your schedules and go buy the tickets!

For those who haven't heard the buzz/controversy about this movie, here's the trailer. http://www.fahrenheit911.com/trailer/

That about sums up my sentiment nicely in one word.

Yeah I wanna see that

I think everyone should see this. Because on every story there are 2 sides. Mostly we have seen only one side of this story.

Yes in a B-52

Yes. I'd like to see what the Bush Administration and the GOPheads are so intent on suppressing. And why. >

There are 3 sides to every story. Yours, mine, and the truth.

From what I have seen, Michael Moore's work can't get any more one sided. I like his work but sometimes he does go a little too far to bend things to agree with his perspective.

I've heard of his main claims, and I'd be curious to see what his proofs are.  Cause I must admit, I'm finding all this a little too far fetched, not that I'm a Bush fan - not at all.

Personally I wouldn't do anything to help put money in the man's pocket.

Ok to clarify. If there was information out there by anyone other than him, I would probably be interested. He has been caught in way too many lies and is so blatantly un-American.

No, I will not put money in his pocket either. The man is just an oppurtunist. If there was any earth shattering facts in this movie that needed to be brought to light, it would be in a courtroom not a movie theatre.

I loved his other film. I keep an open mind and will deffinitly go see his new movie.

Have we only really seen the "one side?" I don't think so. I don't remeber any network talking about how great Bush is, or for that matter, what good things are coming out of the war. No, it's typically the opposite.

I must say, Moore is an interesting filmmaker, but he always comes across so polarized. I wish he would use his talents "Globally" rather than always picking on his own country. There are bigger problems out there. I would really enjoy his style, but can't tolerate his bashing. Maybe he should live under Saddam's rule for a couple of years and then make a film about that. OOPPS, I forgot, Saddam wouldn't let him have a camera in Iraq. If he tried anyway, they'd kill him. No free speech. Doggone it, I thought I was on to something.

I think Design Caddy put it best...Nope.

From what I hear Moore himself is only in the film for
a short time. The rest is interviews with a lot of
different people made by small film crews all over
the globe, people who work in the government, people
who work in the military etc. etc..

I never saw Bowling for Columbine. Not sure why,
but it is something with that story that doesn't
feel right.

I can't say that Moore is un-American, he feels
there are important things that needs to be discussed
and he uses his creativity to reach out to other people.

If you as an American can't raise questions about
things that really bothers you, things would seem like
in some old communist state where everyone had to think
like the leader or be imprisoned or killed.

I will probably see the film when it arrives, mainly
because I've studied a lot of the happenings from 9/11
to the present day, because 9/11 was also something
that when it happened gave me a feeling that something
was not right, and there are a lot of fishy details that
people really need to be told about.

Guess we will see if the movie is good or not.

Please...no disrespect intended, but you can't say whether he is or is not an American because you are not an American. You have no reference point. Any more that I can say what it means to be from Sweden. Please, come to America and truly be an American before you make a judgment about whether someone is "American" or not.

He, most definitly, has the right to make his film, have it distrubited, and have it viewed.

I, most definitly, have the right to say I won't support him by watching his film. If I could watch it without putting money is his pocket, I probably would. Simply so I could justify an opinion about his film. I may do so anyway.

And for the record, any good film/video editor can take an assembly of news clips and make them say anything they want. I truly hope he has done more to support his position than that. If not, give me a couple of days to collect news clips and I'll counter his argument with my own film.

Remember, context is more important than the spoken word. Understand the context of something and you'll begin to see the bigger picture.
