So...gonna go see Farenheit 9/11?

I'm not big on politics, but this is one movie you should spend $9.50 on. It opens in theaters tomorrow, so clear up your schedules and go buy the tickets!

For those who haven't heard the buzz/controversy about this movie, here's the trailer. http://www.fahrenheit911.com/trailer/

Golf anyone? According to Moore, any president who plays golf is a no-good heartless slacker. Thing is most presidents play golf.

I guess that's another reason as to why I will not go to see this movie.
I do not want to go to a film that will make me think about, current political, economical or any other issue to be at hand for the day. I go to movies to be entertained, and lose myself for a couple of hours in something other than the real world. I don't want to be convinced, educated, coerced or informed by a media I am paying to entertain me. Heck it's getting so that I don't even like the dang commercials, creeping into the theatres. The only difference, between theatres and my TV is the Ticket price, and I can make my own popcorn, now.

No, I wouldn't waste my money, and if anyone is interested, here is a breakdown of the main points of the movie from ScreenIt.com http://www.screenit.com/movies/2004/fahrenheit_911.html

No need for me to see the movie.

I can just sit back and listen to him stick his nose into Canadian politics.

Right where it doesn't belong.

But then, going where he doesn't belong seems to appeal to him.

I'd actually like to see it a lot, but I don't feel like I HAVE to see it, because we all already know Bush is an idiot.

I forgot who said it, but someone early on called Moore "Un-American". I'd like someone to please define "un-american", because I'd really like to know what it takes to be so...

speaking your mind? sharing your views? going against the majority? I'd like to think that these views are the most american of all. C'mon people, this is America, not China.

***The aforementioned comment about China was not meant to be discriminatory, only meant to point out that China is a communist state and would not tolerate those ideals***

I saw it yesterday, I would make everyone see it if I could.
Nice soldiers you got driving those tanks. *rolls eyes*
Time to stop hiding and do something about this, I mean daaammmm.

Well I just saw it, and I have to say to everyone:

If you're a conservative, or a republican, or you plan on voting for Bush in November, here's a helpful hint: If you like him, DON'T see the movie, because after those 2 hours, you'll be 100% for voting for John Kerry.

That being said, I would LOVE for everyone to see it because I think Bush is a criminal and needs to be sat in the Dunce corner.

I never let a movie influence the way I vote
Reply #63 Top
Nope but a Documentary should just affect more then a little vote.
If you havent seen the movie you cant really comment in here.
Im serious GO SEE IT.
Yes its that big of a problem thats running in your country, if you love your country then go see this Documentary.

I've seen it.
I don't consider it a documentary.
I wasn't impressed.
Well I guess there is nothing left to do other then sit and watch what will Ye ole Bush will do next. What country will he invade next, lets spin the globe and point shall we?
Well I just saw it last night and I can now say that I will be 100% NOT voting for Kerry!! That was the most shameless piece of leftist propaganda that I have ever WASTED money on but I figured I cant *itch if I haven't seen it. I've always been a centrist but Moore and his ilk are pushing me closer to the right everytime they try to insult my intelligence with their rhetoric .

Well at least until Spiderman 2 is released

Pix, I agree. People who don't want to see it are just afraid that they'll learn something about Bush and our corrupt government that they would rather not know. The fact is:

Bush worked with Osama'a half-brother. Our government is corrupt. Cheney is a criminal. Bush is his administration's female dog. We went to war so companies like Halliburton could make money.

Kudos to Canada's Conservative party for picking up 20 seats and to Bloc Quebecois for picking up 21 seats and ousting the Liberal party's control of Parliment making the Liberal's the first minority government in Canada in 25-years. Maybe Quebec will finally secede!

Now I'd pay $10 of my money to watch a documentary on that
