Fences Key Lifetime

Hi, I bought a key for my father's computer 10 years ago and he is so happy with it.

He called me last week and told me that Fences 2 (yes, he's still on V2, I didn't know the app didn't auto-update) had stopped working about a month ago, so today I went to his house and tried to fix it, but I couldn't get it to work...

I tried to upgrade to 5, but it seems the key is not valid, I don't know what the policy is for a lifetime key.

PC is running W10 pro with latest patch

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Do know that lifetime key is for your Fences v2. Which mean it is valid forever for Fences v2. But it will not activate Fences v3, v4 or v5. You will need to purchase a new license key for Fences v5.

Thanks, I presumed that. But it seems V2 is no longer works... I've uninstall/reinstall 2 times, the sencond one even cleaning regedit and putting the key again and it didn't work, it pops-up this message:

 

 

Any idea how can I get it working again?

Most probably since Fences v2 stop developing for current Windows version it became not compatible. It is best to upgrade.

But, you can try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest Fences version 2 available in your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.
