Calling all PC experts - Saving image problem...

Ok...I've searched the net and every where else I can think of, so this is a last resort.

Here's the problem...I go to save a animated .gif image...sometimes it (My PC) allows me to save it as it is...a animated .gif...but then other times it will only allow me to save it as a .bmp...which stops the animation of the image.

Is there a setting somewhere I need to change or set that will give me the choice of image types?

webgizmos - the chances are good you've installed something lately that changed your right click menu...think!

OK...I just tried saving a background image and things happened different than I'm used to seeing. When I right clicked on the image a download screen popped up...you know...the save this file now...download later...and the then file folder where I save this stuff came up and it saved the image as it should be...and when I clicked save it downloaded the image. But it doesn't do this for .gifs.

Smoke starts pouring out of webgizmos ears from thinking to hard...the only things I've downloaded has been images and windowblinds...nothing else lately.

I went to a different webpage to try it on a background image...because that wasn't showing as active in my right clicks as well and I was curious if that worked...and it did... but I still can't get the .gifs to download correctly.

To be perfectly honest, I find MSN very unpleasant to use (and a little buggy). If your IE works, stick with it when you want to do things like this and all will be right with the world...

yes...sixties were great

I will take that under advisement Yrag...I never used IE until now honestly so I will give it a whirl and see what comes out...

Ok got the scoop on using IE 6 as a FTP Client from my ISP Tech Support

Hi China....you sweet thang!... (yeah, I added that part )

If you would like to use Internet Explorer 6.x as a FTP Client, below are the steps on loging in.

Open Internet Explorer 6.x
Type FTP address (ftp."whatever".com)
Select File>Login As
Enter FTP Login (Username/Password)
Click OK

I really works, I swear!

Ok ChinaCat...you sweet thang!...hehehe...I'll give that a try and see what happens.

Oh...by the way...and I cannot tell you why or how...but it seems that now if I put an image on a webpage and click on it the image downloads correctly, but if I click on it within my files and view it that way it doesn't...go figure!
