What Should We Use To Report the Version We Are Playing?

When we report issues I can understand that you need to know what version we are playing, but I am somewhat confused about what version you want us to report.  The version that just came down this afternoon is shown in Epic as 1.89.498602 (first screen snapshot below), but the Properties for the GalCiv4.exe file shows the file version as 1.9.0.0 and the product version as 49.8.41.3 (second screen snapshot below).  I would have thought that the first 2 fields of the Epic version (1.89) should match the first 2 fields of the file version (1.9), but it doesn't.  I would also assume that the product version without the decimals (498413) should be the same as the third field of the Epic version (498602), but it is not.

What is the version that you want us to report?

It was strange, I updated to a 1.9 version earlier today, played a quick game, then after it wanted to update again and now I have 1.89.498602

Use the in-game version, which should say 1.9.

And how does one find the "in-game version"?

It's in the lower left corner of the main menu.
