Clitch in WB4.20?

Since updating to the newest WB version I now have an eratic skinning problems. The problem is that the taskbar is only partially skinned. Sometimes the start button is not skinned and then sometimes the area around the button on the system tray is not skinned. If I go and re-apply the skin I am using this applies the the portion of the skin that is missing, but then when I restart my PC the next time it is gone again. And when I try to rollback to the previous version of WB4 that option is not available in the panel. So...has anyone else had this problem?

Update: Found how to restore the previous WB4 version and the skin works fine now, so there has to be some sort of "glitch" in the recent version of WB4.20.

I'm having a similar problem with the new version as well. It seems that my start menu won't skin to the proper custom color I choose. If I reload the skin, sometimes everything skins properly...sometimes it doesn't.

Having the same problems with start button and tray won't hide inactive icons, quick launch buttons don't skin without reapplying the skin can't go back to an earlier version, lost all my data on HD.

Yes c242...that's what I'm talking about. If anyone else has this problem just restore your older version and everything will get back to normal. It will be my guess that once stardock gets wind of the problem they will get it fixed. So I guess we'll have to wait.

And Bones2112...there has to be a way for you to get the older version back, would it be possible if I downloaded my files to my website for you to copy into yours? Not sure if that would work or not?

Another bug in 4.20 is if you use a skin with a wide left frame, such as Colony or Siderado, the sub menus come up about a 1/2 inch from the main menu panel in explorer. I was updating Siderado with all the latest bits and nearly went crazy trying to find what I had done to mess up the skin. A roll back to 4.19[h] fixed the problem.

Same problem here. Going to restore older version I guess.

I sent an e-mail to support, so hopefully they will be able to identify the problems and fix them.

another problem. I updated my windowblinds from 4.019h(I think thats right) to 4.02 and I was using Christmas Time. The animated snowflakes in the start menu messed up and it was just flashing red and white. I had to delete christmas Time and redownload it, but it worked then. nothing big, just a little annoyance

I can't even update to 4.2. I tried updating from Stardock Central - it downloads, asks me to restart my computer, then pops up in SD Central again asking if I want to update. Perhaps with the bugginess it is a good thing.

bmetelsky...I had the same problem. I fixed it by uninstalling WB through add/remove programs in the control panel, and then deleting the Wb folder (and then removing it from the recycle bin, just in case). When I reinstalled it, no more problem.

I'm still waiting for them to fix the titlebar text bug myself.

what do you mean?

In SDC when you install a newer version, you can save the old. Since you're asking I assume you didn't.
nope, anyway around that? It never asks me to archive it so i never knew I could. I don't fool around with sdc much.

You should start...it's in SDC settings. What version you looking for?

The one before 4.20.016 whatever it was. I think it was 4.19i or something like that. Alot of my programs don't display right anymore, and I can barely use the start menu with it on. I guess i'll have to turn it off for now

Mine works just peachy

never mind. If I change skins everything goes back to normal. I guess I can't restart my computer any more.

Hey Travis...it's possible that your stuff was archived and you didn't know it. If you click on "file" then "archive/restore" then "restore existing" it should bring up a window with dated versions of everything you had archived. Find one dated before you downloaded the latest version and click on it to restore it.
