New submission, need comments before I submit... Take it easy on me please...LOL

Ok I have created another wall paper and this is the theme...

It is called American Omega, I am sure you can see why. I made this purposely dark because all of the cool things you can use for bright icons and the what not. Like a cool wally for a space theme or something. I am open to suggestions to improve this and make it as best I can... Now I do like it currently and am only looking for a couple critiques to make it better, not change it....Originally the sun was completly black with a blue ora, but I decided to give it some depth and ligthing inside of it...

I hope you like, ,, PS7 Wacom and mouse... this is not the full size...

you might want those things to look a little less......

the lens flars in the middle

Lens-flare filters almost invariably are not a good idea....and a wall will generally be rejected for same due to what is often referred to as 'filter abuse' or 'filter frenzy'...
no wait a minute... Filter frenzy is not art...?? See it is comments like that aren't neccessary... How do you think people make digital art???? Take away any persons filters on here and I guarantee you there wouldn't be another submission... To me that comment is dry and useless. It is not a vangogh remake, and yes there is even a filter for that... But my point is filters are important...So besides the sperm what do you guys think...

lots of people here work without filters.

It's ......crap

sorry, I liked your pumpkin better

I am sure they do and I haven't seen a lot of good artwork that is worked without filters... Please show me and prove it... Any cool thing that is done on a digital painting that can't be done on a regular painting is most likely a filter. Like lighting effects and what not. The better you get at using them the better you get at makeing better ART....Filters are a tool and if the picture looks better because of them than so be it.. NUMBER one FILTER>.. BLUR... and everybody on here uses that one... sorry but your wrong...
I don't think ANYONE here said it was WRONG to use filters here. I LOVE them gotta have 'em! BUT...art you still must make...even if it is a simple figure (such as fruit)against a fairly plain bg.

Almost 50% of my work was rejected here...(www.darkseraphim.com) and I was one of the biggest cry babies here when my stuff got rejected... BUT...it made me WANT to be better and strive even harder...something sadly...some artists will never feel good about now because...well...now so much gets in. Before...it was like...almost elite to get your work in...now...*sigh*

BUT...people are giving you their time because they CARE...don't forget that. I care...I'm NO employee of this site but ah heck I am a loyalist even when I've gotten my sorry ass in trouble here. hehe

BIG TEXT on ANY art is a major no-no

My first walls were rejected because I had my copyright WAYYYYYYY too huge...hell I was a noob.

Everyone starts out a noob!

So with that said!

(((((((BIG HUGS))))))) AND WELCOME...

(I'm sure with the art you have done...you are gonna kick major arse eventually so don't you DARE give up)!

This one might not be on the site any more, but DreamDesign did say it was done without any filters at all. Sometimes subtle but accurate is harder to do than all flash and bang.

This is what DreamDesign said in part:

And I dont use plugins I dont have between $99.oo to over $6,000.oo for them. So I have to figure out how to do it with out the plugins just think of what I could do with some of those.

I assumed he was talking about filters.

Shmoppy? That must mean I'm shmoopy + sloppy which sadly...ain't too far off the mark with this last beer I chugg-a-lugged. hehe

you digitally paited this or scanned it??? and do you have a bigger picture?

Lens flares are considered 'taboo' because they do not exist in nature but are an affectation/result of an optical camera lens.

Point and click filter-use is most commonly the crutch of the person new to digital aet manipulation/creation....a case of 'wow, look at this trick' which quickly becomes tired and boring.

Put simply, 'frenzies' of ill-considered filter use will be rejected.....matters not from whom it originates....

shmoopy.....yes....1972...watercolour on board....

naitsirch79...it's fully re-worked in PSP6 without any filters.....just painting tools....mostly a push-brush. Click on my name and browse the few walls I bothered to put up. Most of my work is with nudes which do not have a place here...but they are on Deviantart.com.....though those are Conte pencil...and again manipulated via PSP....

6000 plugin??? what plugin is that much???

filters are not nessecarily plugins. I will tell you this. For whatever your doing there is a filter that can make it better. I am sorry to say it but true elite digital artist now how to use their plugins masterfully.... Now for straight paintings NO, I can see where you wouldn't use them... You are trying to emulate true realistic art. Not something that most likely can't be done with a real live paintbrush...

but what is that plugin I want to check it out...
