As much as I'd like to post a video and be able to help, this is predominantly happening with my email application (Thunderbird) and contains sensitive information. It's also not something that I can make happen intentionally and would be difficult to catch. I suspect that this may be similar to the issue that Karuthem is reporting as my email program will sometimes become unresponsive while it runs its housekeeping processes. Not sure why that would cause Groupy to "throw" the window across displays or even cause it to move around at all.

I can add to this that the windows don't need to be grouped together. Even if they are apart, as long as Groupy is running, they will jump around.

Hopefully I'm not being premature by posting this but I updated Windows 10 to 19042 yesterday and the problem of jumping screens has not recurred. I'll report back in a few days to confirm whether this resolved the issue.

We do hope you can select things \ roll them up to still be able to produce something.

Also, are you using any multiple monitor software like DisplayFusion, UltraMon, NVidia Surround? If so, and you disable them, does it still happen?

We still need to know this.

Not using any multi-monitor software or any other desktop/OS enhancements.

It has happened enough that I've noticed a pattern. The application that jumps is always on a different display (#2) and was the last to have focus. Focus moves to an application on display #1 and, a 30-60 seconds later, the previous application jumps behind the now-focused application. The jumping application's tabs are lined up with the focused application.

We do hope you can select things \ roll them up to still be able to produce something.

I'm a software dev so I understand how this makes it impossible to troubleshoot but I cannot provide a video. Other people here have, however.

Can you link to any videos that have your exact issue?

Have you installed 1.47 beta:

Installed and ran the 1.47 beta. Windows are still jumping around and hiding behind the active window on the primary display. Videos of this behavior have already been provided by another user.

Please link me to said videos, please.

Are you still able to see the issue with a clean boot?

It was #24 in this thread but it seems that those images have been deleted. Not a problem, I took the time and made one for you. It's from a 4K display so you may need to download it for viewing.

There are two applications in view: Mozilla Thunderbird and Vivaldi (Chromium-based browser). Thunderbird starts with the main focus, then Vivaldi is clicked on. I click back to Thunderbird and wait a few seconds. Thunderbird then jumps in front of Vivaldi on its own.

This is a typical example of what is happening. Often times, Thunderbird, while not having focus, will jump behind the active application.

Notice that the tabs of one application are being aligned with the tabs of another. It's almost as if Groupy is mismatching the positional state of one application with another. You will also notice that the view in Thunderbird gets distorted. This is especially noticeable in the font rendering. In this example, a single monitor was used. When the windows jump across multiple displays, the distortion effect is very severe as the other display is 3440x1440 instead of 4K.

This is the issue that I have been reporting.
