We really do think it's some 3rd party app issue or extension.  I would like to know if you still see it under a clean boot:

I appreciate the effort but it only happens when Groupy is running. As a developer myself, I understand how difficult it is to troubleshoot something that you can't recreate. I've tried a competing product and there are no issues. I've done clean boots several times during the almost two months that this has been happening. This wouldn't be caused by a plugin or other app. I'm not running any other type of desktop utility and the behavior has one app lining up with the tabs of another app to the pixel.

Thanks for trying.

If you have Windows 10 Pro, and you fire up a Sandbox instance, install just Groupy and the aforementioned apps in their default state (no logging in or extensions), does it still happen?

I don't have 10 Pro and, honestly, I'm not about to go through this level of effort. Besides, I've found a fix.

I uninstalled it.

Hi, I have some issues with Microsoft Edge and Teams, the interface moves leaving a black space on the right, on Edge up to the tabs, also on the clic on options move up too, I let you a record, also on some office programs, if I clic on taskbar or other place I see it turn like if I have white theme instant of the dark one, it also happen sometimes with some programs like visual studio code but only in some Office programs like word keep happening, I don't record that but also sometimes the cursor get a tab out of a group

My Windows 10 Pro OS build is 19042.746

I use the Steam version of Groupy 1.47

also, I have a suggestion, I'd like the possibility to change the color here when pop-up to group, to match the dark theme:

My issue:

All tabs disappear when I close the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC window.

Win10Pro 20H2 build 19042.804

1. Add Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (32-bit) to the existing group of tabs.

2. Close the Adobe Reader Window.

3. All the other windows grouped with Adobe Reader are closed as well. Without even "Save your changes" prompt.

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC version 2021.001.20138.

Hi again)

Visual Studio resizes the window when it freezes.

This usually happens when Resharper is braking.

It looks like pressing restore window and then maximize.

Bug Report

  • Windows version/build:
    • Windows 10 Pro 1903 (18362.53)
  • Issue:
    • If using Always place above, when the tabs reach the full window width while Inactive tabs should pick up the active tab color is disabled, the assigned Inactive tab colors are ignored and the default gray is used instead. Furthermore, the font color on the inactive tabs doesn't follow this and still behaves as if the Inactive tab colors are being correctly read.
  • Steps to reproduce:
    • Visuals > Always place above
    • Visuals > Colors > Pick default inactive tab color > any color (mine was RGB(52,55,86))
    • Visuals > Colors > Pick default inactive tab non focused color > any color (mine was RGB(52,55,86))
    • Visuals > Colors > Inactive tabs should pick up the active tab color > DISABLE
  • Screenshots:
    • What the issue looks like:
    • Proof that it looks normal when the tab bar doesn't exceed the full window width:
    • This is what a solution should look like in this case:

Personally I'd be glad if this was fixed soon since I'm the kind of person that tends to have a lot of tabs open at once, haha.

As a short term solution you can disable the option in Groupy for making inactive tabs translucent.  This fixes this issue.

Bug Report

Windows version

Issue
I am running into something that seems to be a visual bug. When I use the Windows 10 feature Virtual Desktop (link for more info: https://www.cnet.com/how-to/how-to-use-multiple-desktops-in-windows-10/), the tab bar from a different Virtual Desktop is flickering on the Virtual Desktop I am currently using.

Steps to reproduce
1. group program in tabs (eg. Chrome windows)
2. create a new virtual desktop and switch to that desktop (which is empty)
3. the tab bar from the not active virtual desktop is now flickering through on the current active virtual desktop.

Groupy visual settings

Additional info
I did not find any combination of settings that could fix this issue. Please resolve this soon as it is VERY annoying to constantly have flickering images from a different desktop overlaying the current active one. If additional info is required to help reproduce the issue, please let me know.

While we have addressed this in a futher patch:

https://forums.stardock.com/503051/get;3800590

This one we cannot reproduce but some other changes (in the coming patch) may resolve it.

Thank you for the thorough reports.
