I am playing the crusade expansion since my friend doesn't have the 2 newer ones
After a bunch of testing, it seems if I have too many ship designs from either workshop or my own, when I host a game, it crashes with no error messages immediately after the game loads. (after lobby, etc). This only happens in multiplayer.
How I came to this conclusion is two fold. I tried hosting a game with a ton of custom ships from workshop, it took forever to load in multiplayer, and it crashed right after loading.
I then removed almost every single one of them except around 10 designs from workshop. My friend had another 5. The game starts quickly and fine this time.
After we finished this game, we started a new one, however the game would crash after load again, so I removed all of my custom versions of those ships I built in the multiplayer match, leaving it back to those 10 base designs, the game worked once again.
So, are the devs aware of this? Is there a fix impending? Is there a workaround? Thanks!
