What happened to skin Moderation Lately???

Listen I can't skin worth a Sh--. But sheesh. Over the last few weeks I've had to rub my eyes and clean my glasses when checking out some of the new admissions here at Wincustomize. And what's up with all these wallpapers being posted here of all these glob, drippy, distorted, mucous, exploding, gumby shaped thingies. These are so overdone. And Wincustomize says "The finest collection of Wallpapers on the Internet!", I don't think so. One only has to go to >>>>> http://www.digitalblasphemy.com/ for that. Now before you all go getting your geco panties in a wad let it be known that I've been visiting Wincustomize since the beginning, I've purchased WinFX, WB, OB, many of the skin suites if not all and I was a Object Desktop subscriber since last year(plan on renewing next month). My intent is not to insult any of the skinners or Wincustomize. I just like great skins, walls etc. And for those who are going to tell me to leave... Uh Huh I'm gonna stay. I never said I didn't like it here, I just think things have gotten away from Wincustomize's original Sprirt. And for those of you who are gonna say what do you want for free. Sure I've downloaded skins for free, but I believe I've purchased every skin suite from Stardock/Wincustomize also from Pixtudio so I'm not a freeloader. Let's just watch the uploads people.

Change your viewing filter to exclude anything below about a '7' or so...and the quality will be just fine...

The problem with that Jafo is that there are some people here at WC who have personal vendettas and run around lowering the score of skins out of shear childishness. Of course the old standby jeaslousy may also play a role in this activity. Thus, anyone who does such may be missing out on some truly good work.

Here we go with the "here we goes". I support this site anyway I can on a limitted income so yes I feel I do have a right to whine once in a while DaWebMassa. I try not to post any negativity on this messageboard and if I have in the past I apologize that is not my intent.

My view filter goes to 11. It's not 10. You see, most blokes, you know, will be viewing at 10. You're on 10 here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on 10 on your view filter. Where can you go from there? Where? What I do is, if I need that extra push over the cliff, you know what I do? 11. Exactly. One higher.

I think I'll have to agree with you on this one Jarget. And not to disrespect any artist or put down anyone, but the reality is that lately I've seen a lot of work been submited and accepted that really falls short of expectation. Not to mention the fact that some work has been on display for almost a week or beyond and the download count hasnt even reach triple digits. Not much appeal I'll imagine. It seems the moderators have become more flexible on the quality of the work submited.
I my self have taken a break from uploading my work since most of it has been rejected lately.
It's anybody's guess at this point.

Jarget, you misinterpreted my opening. It was meant for what I, ME, was about to say not that you were whining. I concur with you that there has been a lowering of standards, or at least what some of us do.

BUT, as has been pointed out, what some of us think is not worthy, others love.

I have instructed moderators to be easier on submissions so that we don't have to deal with so much angst from rejected wallpaper authors.

Use the rating filters.

Frogboy, what about the WB submissions? Look at the last few. At the risk of hurting someone's feelings I have to say some of the last few are, well, not good.

I always looked foward to visiting WC on a daily basis for a new quality WindowBlinds skin. But now those are few and far between basically because the great skinners are busy on other projects, their jobs, or real life. And what's in between is garbage. Sorry, I had to say it.
