organize rally points

I use RPs as a way to know what is going on on my insane maps. what makes it worse is I play for a while then off for a week then play some more. think of them as my in game notes.

Consequently I make lots of them so could you add the ability to organize them like planets are. But do it so in the Rally point screen I can organize them and also in the "set ship destination" rally points I can find them easily.

I have found myself developing a system of labelled rally points as well.  So, I have to agree with this request.  Another place that needs list management is the planet list tab of the rally point screen.   Several times, I knew the name of my destination planet to send my Merc to, but I had an unsorted list of >100 planets to try and scan through.  That was no fun.

What type of sorting options would you want for the rally points?

Ship meet up area (Make anti-pirate fleet)

Send a constructor (make mine ie 1t2dmine)

Pirate bases (pbase)

to-do notes (upgrade)

Notes (bad/good area because...)

Home planets of minors (name of minor)

Planets to send a trade ship.

I am presently looking at using the information already available, including renamed labels. It would seem ForesterSOF is asking for a sortable comment field for more detailed notes than you get with a quick label.  There could possibly be a "purpose" field, but I don't see how it would work.  I had once tried naming rally points to sort them out by what type ship I was sending, but that doesn't work well when you are setting up tor escorted transports or fleets with augment ships, etc.  I have not yet found any other information points I would create a sortable field for.

 

In the Rally Points Tab of the main lists:

Alphabetical by name.  (to find all the meaningful labels I have made.)

Ships stationed at.  (Where did I park my main fleet?  Especially on a giant map.)

Ships on route.    (Where is everybody going?  Good for resuming a complex or delayed game.)

 

I am also looking at the Go To command and its list of rally points, planets, etc.

Alphabetical by name.  (to find all the meaningful labels I have made.)

Distance from selected fleet.  (which is displayed but not sorted)

Yes if it was alphabetical I could just start all names with a key word such a pirate, upgrade, minor, etc.

On the ship destination would that not go into a fleet management list.

I support this request. Sorting by name would be a very helpful thing for rally points. 

It would be also great in the shipyard list.
