Skin bug - need help from the experts! :)

This one has me stumped. Most form elements don;t have a border anymore, or they have a white border. I can't seem to figure out what skins form elements...

here's a screenshot of what it looks like: http://www.kenefick.net/skins/formproblem.gif

Any ideas?

I've been all through every border color, etc...it;s driving me crazy!

I have another example image: http://www.kenefick.net/skins/whiteline.gif

There's a think white line sandwiched between the two grey sections...that is the border I'm looking to skin, that for some reason is coming up white. Anyone know what it is?

I am almost sure you are referring to the 3d color scheme.

Light, highlight, dark shadow, shadow etc. Those make those color lines.

Experiment with the colors in the 3d controls and see what happens.

I agree with Delicious. Check in your Colours section, under 3D Controls. I think this color is Button - Light. In your SkinStudio preview window, you will see this color is on the top edge of the classic taskbar. It refers to the light edge of any 3d object that is not skinned with an image. I hope that helps.

Well, I checked...and there's no white specified there. It's weird. Is the 3-D controls section what controls the border of a workspace? That seems to be the crux of the problem...any workspace that is controlled by "Background - Window" shows up borderless...or rather the border is white, which makes it seem borderless on white pages/apps, etc.

I was able to get a border around SOME things by correcting an error in my ComboBox bitmap. I'm either tired and not thinking straight or this is a bug of some kind.

I appreciate the help! If anyone thinks of anything else, please let me know...

iben: There are three "tab" related images in the tree in SkinStudio. Tabs Image, Tabs Background and Tabs Spacer. Where does "TabsPanel" come from?
The tab spacer has been a mystery for me. I have asked several times in the DB what and where it is but got no answer. Makes me to believe no one knows what it does either.

The other two are the actual tabs and the border that goes around the box. I may be wrong but I think the tab background/border only shows 3 tiles of the border.

If you are still having problems with this it might be an idea to let someone have a look at the skin. Sometimes sorting problems at long distance isn't easy. I'd be pleased to help out if you want to mail the skin to me.

Skinner stark23x the TabPanel bit map can be found. In skin studio tree, controls, click tabs. Then look at the section window a small picture of the TabPanel bit map should be shown under value next to attribute tab Border. If you click it you can edit it.If it is not there you can add attribute, tab Border ,then edit your new attribute in graphics program using TabPanel as its name when you save it.I think. Check to see if you Have this in your skin.Let me Know please,At least we can rule this out hopefully.
Have a nice day.
Maybe you already found the problem let me Know.

Iben - As it turns out, there was a problem in that area, and your advice led me to recreate the graphic, and that solved the problem. However, that hasn't solved the other issue, form elements.

Here's an example of a form when WB is off, and I'm using Windows Classic: http://www.kenefick.net/skins/newskinprob-off.gif

Here's an example when I turn WB on...and the strange thing is, this happens with other skins as well: http://www.kenefick.net/skins/newskinprob-on.gif

Here's the latest version of my skin: http://www.kenefick.net/skins/starkdeskbluecopy.wba
