Been wondering this for a while...

My two CD ROM drives in the "My Computer" window does not change when I apply any Icon Packager theme. Help will be appreciated.

In IconPackager/settings, click 'restore defaults' and 'rebuild icon cache'then re apply the theme. If that doesn't work you can try changing the icon under 'Icons&Cursors' in IP.
Failing that, you can go back to the old fashioned manual method. In My Computer right click the drive you want to change, select the icon tab and browse for the icon you want to use.

Hope that works for you.

I'm pretty sure it is a known issue that Icon Packager can't change CD icons. Maybe someone can verify that.

i *think* this is a know problem with winXP.

it is to do with the fact that the icons change state depending on wether there is a disk in the drive or not.

Yes, MikeB314 and Feline are correct, the CD and DVD icons can not be changed on XP. They are not "icons" like the rest of them. A little Microsoft "feature" you might say...

Mine are definitely changed! Unless I need glasses or I have a 'different' version of XP...

it is a good place to check out for more detailed info, since this has been asked and addressed several times.
