If I Unpin "Windows 8 Menu" Is There A Way To Get It Back?

It's actually a shortcut to:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Start8\Start8.exe" Metro

where C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Start8 is wherever you have Start8 installed, and the icon is set to the second icon in Start8.exe

Yes, I have already noticed that.

So how do we get it back on the Start8 menu? I can't seem to be able to pin Start8.exe on the menu. Any help would be appreciated

create a shortcut to the path above in your document directory and pin it to the Start8 menu

Pinned the shortcut to my Start8 menu, but once clicked all it does is minimize the Start8 menu and return to whichever program I was in before. Tried Start8_64.exe as well as I'm running 64bit windows, but to no avail. I reinstalled Start8 it but the shortcut is still gone

I get a different result. 

If the Windows 8 (Metro) Menu shortcut is unpinned from the "Start menu (Start8)", to get it back I just RMB clicked on the Desktop and created a New Shortcut pasting in the following for the location of the item

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Start8\Start8.exe" Metro

and then clicked Next and I gave it the following name

Windows 8 (Metro) Menu

then clicked on the Finish button. (And I moved the newly created shortcut from the Desktop to another folder location.) I then RMB clicked on the newly created Windows 8 (Metro) Menu shortcut and clicked on "Pin to Start menu (Start8)"; and if wanting to change the icon just RMB click on the shortcut, click on Change Icon, select the icon you want and click on OK.

However when I did this all worked as expected (i.e. as it did before my unpinning it). I wonder why it behaves differently on yours. . . .

If you delete the SetupLnk value in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\Start8\Start8.ini\Start8 you should find the shortcut is added back for you on your next login.
