The game is NEVER over after a minute. Your whole team could die in the middle at level one, and it still wouldn't be over. I can't stand playing with or against people who think the game is decided after first death, or the first 5-10 minutes of the game :/
Earlier today I was playing with people I didn't know against a couple OMD ppl.. I died at like lvl 2. Then my teammates proceded to die 3 times by lvl 7 or so. They have both towers down and are pushing gold flag consistantly. It's mirror match - oak / ub / erebus. Down 4 kills.. but nobody was bitching other than me pointing out a couple mistakes that happened and how to fix it. We focused, and we come back with several kills and ended up winning.
Last night I played with McShane on my team against Zen_God and Mithrandir. Shane and I controlled the entire early game. We got a kill, we were a level up each, we were 1500 ws ahead, we had both towers down, we had their gold flag occasionally, we had all our towers up, and it was mirror. Things sound pretty hopeless for the other team.. but they come back and get 3 late game kills for massive money. We end up trading portals and their cit drops with our citadel @ 12000 after buying FS3.
Another good example I was reg in a 2v2. They were knocking at our door with giants and had pretty much every flag except our portals. I sold literally everything I had, purchased j-treads, 1 lock, 1 port. I ran for one of their portals, they didn't make it in time (not terribly hard to not notice a reg run across the map without capping the 3 other flags in his way when you're expecting to finish the game within a minute or two), I locked and ported back to mine all the creeps on my cit, and we kept that portal the rest of the game to win.
I have several other examples.. down 6 deaths and a collective 9 levels to come back.. down 9 deaths.. w/e.. doesn't matter. There is still a chance to come back from pretty much everything.
