Hey, peoples!
Alright, I realize that this probably isn't the place to ask this, but, hear me out for a second.
As the title says, I'm looking around for a new lappy that, when I get some money, will be able to run Sins properly. Don't get me wrong, Sins does indeed run on it - but apparently, according to the "Can you run it?" website (link is here), I'm missing a hardware component called "vertex shader," amongst other things.
Currently, I've got a 2007 Sony Vaio, Model FE890 (I THINK that's the right number), and as mentioned, Sins just BARELY runs on it (though I need that 3D thingie for it to run properly, as noted).
Ideally,I'm looking for a lappy under $1000 ($1500 is my ABSOLUTE limit) with the following:
2.2 GHz Processor (I have 1.8 currently, which works alright, but 2.2 is recommended)
512 MB
Hardware T&L (something else I'm missing, apparently)
Pixel Shader 3.0 (2.0 currently - again, it works, but 3.0 is recommended)
Vertex Shader 3.0 (Not even on my lappy, as noted)
3 Gigs of RAM (FO3 only requires 2, but SupCom, which I also would like to play, requires 3)
Doesn't have to be Alienware (preferably not, actually - I don't want to spend an arm and a leg on it), but MUST NOT BE DELL
I think I've found a couple of newer Sony Vaios that meet these standards, but I don't really know for sure.
Do you guys have any input for some other lappys that I should look at?
Thanks for your time, guys.
Salutations and Regards,
Warlord Mike
