Early download available for preorders?

Early download available for preorders?

Hi guys,

I searched the forums and didnt find the answer to this question.  I've preordered the game, sadly after the beta cut off, but obviously dont have a download yet.

Will we be able to pre-download the game in anticipation of the release on the 14th?  might be a bit of a crap show if all the digital guys are trying to get it at the same time on the 14th.

thanks!

confused here :)

did the whole pre order thing, looks like an awesome game.

But now we got people playing it already because they went and bought it in a store, whilst the people who PRE ordered it,are still waiting?

Any reason why people shouldn't cancel their pre order and run out to the store?

Loyalty, supporting the makers, not rewarding shady business practices... pick any of those.

loyalty?to a product i'm paying for?

As soon as they found out they should have been "loyal" to the pre prder people and make the dl available.

Already supporting the makers,by sending them my hard earned money :) And i do not see the shady part anywhere, either they weren't clear with gamestop,or they didn't include any hard repercussions for selling it early.Their fault in the end.

I'll still wait for my pre order, just think the solution to this should have come from the demigod peeps.

You also got to realize the timing of all of this... Easter weekend, which generally for alot of people is a 3 day weekend.

They could have said nothing, yet they have been on these boards since this issue arose giving everyone feed back and keeping people in the loop as best the can during this holiday weekend when they should be with their families. Telling them to come back into work on Easter to make the game available for instant download for you is crap.

Yes I realize you like the rest of us are paying money for their product... But the intention of them was to never swindle people out of a day or two of playing a game. There were people in beta who were supposed to get to play a day earlier but now they get to play 3 days later then alot of people, yet I haven't seen them up in arms over losing 3 days of playing a video game.

Also comparing money with loyality sorta deflates the the whole meaning of the word...

Excuse me but forcing a customer to belong to loyal cult is something very funny. Every customer has a right to be treated with respect and deservs so, if you want to be loyal to someone thats your right as well, but its not any customer obligation or moral duty to do so.

You must have skimmed my post and put different sentences to together to form what you wanted to read...

I stated relating money with loyality deflates the word... Nothiing more, nothing less.

You can infer whatever you want with that, but basically what it comes down to is you are just angry you lose 3 days of video game time, infer whatever you want with that statement too.

i don't have any loyalty towards them tbh.

why should i? have we had a long standing relationship like i do with my grocer?:)

don't know them, they offer a product,i'm paying..i deserve the same treatment as their other customers.

I do realise the whole easter thingie,so i'm assuming they'll have this fixed after this whole silly- something prolly happended to jc holiday.

and,yes..i'll wait and be "loyal" without having a reason to be.

I offered it as an option, if you don't want to wait go pickup a boxed edition.  I personally feel a bit of loyalty as I've consistently purchased their games and always recieved a quality product and good support, and loyalty in this instance is the very definition of brand loyalty.

Buying from them directly raises the amount of money going to the designers and decreases the amount given to the retailers and so forth, who I no longer support as GS is notoriously greedy and uncaring.

And the shady business practices pertain to GS's choice to sell before a street date that they made clear they knew about, and then when contacted about it lie to the developers and challenge them to send them copies of reciepts when every message board about this game is lighting up about it being out and everyone is being redirected to GS which means everyone else loses sales.

Actually you said one thing true there, money and loyalty is something not to be connected, so perhaps if you dont rub it to the guys face he wouldnt be forced to talk about money and loyalty as you brought it in at first place. There you got chap, nothing more nothing less if anything else is to complicated for you!

Btw not everyone is obsessed with gaming, maybe you are so judge others by that. some people actually have honest principle and care about honesty.

Don't know what "chap" means :(

I'm not disputing caring about honesty and principles... A mistake was made, mistakes happen everyday.

I just don't understand why you are blaming the company for this problem... If anyone should be upset it should be them, they lose money from this.

You lose 3 days of game time... You said you already pre-order'd, so I'm assuming either way you aren't losing a dime.

If you want to be treated with respect, you shouldn't associate with frauds (ie shady retailers who fuck over their business partners). From naught, comes naught.
