am i the only one with this problem? when i click my shortcut for wincustomize.com, i can go and make a cup of tea while i wait for the site to load in. no i am not on on dial up, i have 8mb broadband. when i browse skins and themes the pages are just as slow. then i saw the avertisment "buy a wincustomize subscription.......blah blah de blah blah.......many benefits including....blah blah.......no advertisements meaning faster page loading.....blah blah". so i bought a subscription. pages load just as slow as before.........yes i did install the wincustomize browser, the problem is this is worse than internet explorer and firefox 3.

anyone else pi**ed off at the speed of the wincustomize website?

The speed comes and goes...... but I happen to know that the site is undergoing major changes and things might be a little slow in certian periods

Yeah, it was so slow earlier that I watched a lame tortoise overtake...

Then I heard that one person has yesterday's pages loading today, it's that slow... and I thought I had it bad. O:)

Yeah, that's about the strength of it, WC can be slower sometimes due to site changes, but it's intermittant and nowhere like the site rebuild of a couple of years ago.  For the most part it is pretty good, so I'm not complaining. |-)

This is very correct. There are a great deal of changes being updated through several portions of the Stardock sites. What browsers are at work here?

I'm using FF, but generally the speed is quite good and disruptions are far and few between.

I did, however, send a PM yesterday but it the intended recipient didn't get it, so I'm guessing is disappeared into cyber space somewhere.  No harm done though, I ended up covering everything in an email that I was going to send anyway.

Wasn't me... if choclatey treasures wos involved I be guessing that woulda bin Fuzzy.  Still went to tha wrong person, tho.. I reckuns that wur meant fer Bebi, knowin' that thar Fuzzy like I do.

As for the speed, right now it's pretty quick... like greased lightning buttered on both sides. O:)

I use WC browser and find it to be slow as hell. Sometimes, I even have to go into the task manager and shut it down because it doesn't respond.

There is still a great deal of demand for the browser I can assure you. It certianly has not been forgotten.

Speeds can be up and down for different browsers considering on what is being worked on at a time. If you are having real troubles you might want to break out IE& to give it a shot. I know there are a great deal of IE haters out there, I myself love Firefox, but it really is a staple of the industry and I recomend it for any site that gives you troubles. This certainly isn't limited to Wincustomize.

You could do what I do; if it slows down hit the short cut of IE/book-mark-right-to-WC to see if it helps.

I have WC bookmarked in both FF3, and IE7. At differing times, both faster than WC Browser, yet I still prefer WC Browser.  Now I have a lot of trouble with Impulse, but that's another thread...lol.   I probably spend 14 hours a day, most days, at my computer, so I have time...lol.  :wc: o_O :grin:
