Obama is an idiot.  So now he will tell us how to set our thermostats and what cars to drive, just to appease other countries?  He is clearly the best choice for anyone who wants a complete nanny state, and who cares what "others" think about you.

Okay, I have been reading this forum for some time now ,(Although I havent posted anything until now.) and I agree with Island Dog. None of your posts ever have any support or validation and all you really do is insult your opponents.

Secondly, thermostats and SUV's are not destroying the planet. There is no such thing as "global warming" either. This fact has been proven by many, including the U.S. meteorological asociation. The world is getting slightly colder, not warmer.

That's funny...my SUV gets about 20 MPG...about the same mileage as a supposedly more efficient and definitely less safe minivan would. And in case you missed it, there aren't many passenger cars that seat 8!

You must have also missed the plethora of news stories talking about how the glaciers are reforming. In fact, 2007 featured the greatest ice creation of any year in a long time. Well if you think about it, we currently have a Republican in the White House, so voting for Barack would mean having a Democrat in the White house and that is change. We've never had a black man as President before, so that would be change. Barack wants to make friends with terrorist, that would be change. So in reality Barack as President would be change, according to him and his followers. Now, whether that change would be good is the only thing neither Barack or anyone else has been able to show. And hope? If having a man who's spiritual beliefs are to put down this country by constantly saying we are the bad guys, you know "Gad Dam America", "I am proud for the first time", "we need to lead by example",etc, is considered hope? Then by all means vote for the guy. I mean, we are the worst country in the world after all, just ask all those legals and illegals who do what it takes and pay up the ying yang to get here, legally or not. And when ever there's a disaster? Fuck the deficit, right?

to beleive that, you have to believe that an increase in global temp by 1C is significant, but a reduction of .75C in one year is meaningless.
