Cannot remove icons or move icons in dock

Cannot remove icons or move icons in dock

I've got this annoying problem not to be able to remove an icon, or reassign it to another place on the bar.

Idea's anyone?

Thanks very much! I should have mentioned before that I need your video card and and driver info as well. Don't worry about it if you can't be bothered for it. I can go from here if need be. Thank you again.

Seabass: My monitpr is an IBM G96 (19 inch crt ) - the mouse is a Logitech trackball and the video driver is for Intel for integrated video support. See below.

I just thought I should mention that I've had the same problem, with the same solution (un-reversing the mouse buttons).  I'm running Vista SP1, not sure what other information might find helpful.

Does this issue ever have the same effect when you try it out in a tabbed dock?

Just wanted to say swapping the mouse buttons back to right handed temporarily worked for me.

I am left handed and have been wrestling with this for a couple days.

Good find!

I would think this would be easy to fix? It really would save us lefties a whole lot of frustration.

Well, I'm resurrecting this thread because I have the same problem. I can't move any of the items on ObjectDock at all. I don't have a left-handed mouse, I'm on a laptop and my configuration is set for right-handed use, I've tried all the other 'fixes' mentioned here and nothing helps. I just can't move anything. I want to set it up so it looks like my taskbar, clock and fixed shortcuts at the far right, but I can't move them, can't put anything between them and the start button, nothing. I was going to upgrade from the 1.9 free version to the paid, but I'm sure not going to pay if I can't at least customize it a little bit.

Anyone have any ideas?

Make sure dragging isn't locked for the dock.

Not sure of the configuration on a left-handed mouse...or why you even mentioned it...so I'll assume it's the same as a right handed except the right and left click are backwards? Anyway...everyone else I know that uses OD uses a right handed mouse...so not sure what the difference would be.

Try saving any docks & themes you have to another folder and then uninstall OD free and make sure no trace of it can be found...then reboot and then re-install it. I should also mention that the taskbar set up seems to be having a problem...I've never used so I can't say for sure what the problem is there...and not sure if you can even do that with the free version. Are you also aware you can hide the taskbar? There is a docklet you can add to your dock that allows you to do that...it's listed under "Docklets."

https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=3449&libid=29 - Show/Hide Taskbar ( I know this a works for both OD Free & ODPlus)

https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?skinid=3916&libid=29 - Systray for OD Works for ODPlus...not sure about OD Free)

And before un-installing you can also try left clicking a corner of the dock and bring up "ObjectDock Properties" and then choose "Troubleshooting"...Then try clicking "Reset ObjectDock's general program settings" (Not Temporary just so you know) and then try dragging something off the dock.

I was going to upgrade from the 1.9 free version to the paid, but I'm sure not going to pay if I can't at least customize it a little bit.

I never used the free version so I'm not sure of the limitations of it...but I can understand that. I'll check back here in a few days to see how this worked for you.

Thats been covered already!! Try reading before replying! And if your going to reply...try explaining "how" to make sure dragging isn't locked since not everyone will know how!!

I'm so very sorry for not realizing that was all ready covered.

No problem Philly...you just seem to be a bit over zealous lately. Slow down a bit before hitting send! ;)

Although I'm quoting above, it's true for me too. What's up, when will this be fixed??
