Behavior/Group Attack Commands

We need more control over what our ships attack. The only way to override default behavior is manual focusfiring, which is not always ideal. I'd like to see a set of commands that tell them a -type- of ship to attack. For example, you click a button, which opens a new menu.

"Attack Light Frigates.." "Attack Long Range Frigates"..."Attack Carriers..

Things of that nature.

Shift right click and just chain orders for attacking. I usually just shift right click all of the ship I want them to kill on the empire tree. May be a better way but that works ok for me.

I fully agree with Demonic on this one. A priority list for each ship class would be best, something I could set globally. Add a "Tactics" tab or something like that, and have a chart for each class. Then you can rank them in order of importance. I'd also add an option to "attack closest", and maybe an "evade" command for carriers and civies.

In homeworld, you could hold down control, and box select a group of enemy units. The units you had selected would then automatically attack priority targets within that selection (different targets for each ship type).

I wish we had that in sins :-/.

Bandbox targeting is a MUST for 1.04 or 1.1. Critical update to make the game play properly. I can't believe they don't have it considering they added explicit anti focus fire stuff like shield mitigation.
