Upgtades

from Stardock Forums
I'm using WB 4.5.
I have never had any upgrades. Now when I go to upgrade it tells me I must pay again.
What's up with this? I never have seen a program before this that makes you pay for newer versions.

Are you using Microsoft Windows? No free upgrades for that from one version to the next. ;)



Windowblinds will give you free updates except for major version changes. An Object Desktop subscription will give you updates for as long as you have the subscription.

Any Adobe app
Almost any game

Someone has to pay for development of new services.  The users are the ones tha make the most sense.

If you buy a SD app you get to upgrade for free until the next major release 4.5 to 4.6 is free, you have to pay for 5 [or in this case 6]).

If you subscribe to ODNT you get one year of updates to a bunch of apps.

It's a good app worth every penny, right?
