Digital D/L Question

You download a program called Stardock Central. It lets you download and install Sins as many times as you need/want. I've installed it a dozen times or more throughout the course of the betas.

If you go with the boxed edition, you get both the boxed copy and the right to download from SDC, btw. So its not an either-or choice. And SDC has an account, where your rights to thegame will be permanently stored so you can download as much as you want.

Edit: Just to clarify, but unless they've gotten around to fixing it yet when you order sins, you get a serial number in your e-mail that you have to copy and paste before you can download the game. The account has not previously "auto-updated" with the new data, you have to transfer the data manually.

I have preordered the game... today in fact... I am assuming with the beta closed there are no files to download yet for Sins?

Will the full game be online days before the game goes live so those with slow internet connections can preload??? Please!!

Sins won't be made available digitally until it ships to retail outlets in North America. We have setup additional bandwidth and server capacity for the release, however.

In terms of digital downloads - the easiest way to handle this is with a Stardock.net account (it's the same as your forum account here). Once you tie your serial to it in Stardock Central (by registering), that's all you'll need in the future. If you do need your serial again, you can put your email address into a support form and it'll be sent to you.

I have tied the serial given to me in an email to stardock download thingy.... it says serial is not recognised... should it be recognised yet (2hrs after it being distrubuted)

Pre-orders haven't been charged yet. Odds are you only have an order number. You won't be able to obtain the game until it's released.
