WindowBlinds 6 rejects skins

but insists on using the windows classic theme

Every time I try to load a skin with WB6, it doesn't do anything. When I put on Luna, then apply a WB skin, it does the blurry thing for a while and after that it just uses the windows classic theme. I've tried restarting and everything, but it just won't work.

Any suggestions on what might be causing it?

Windows XP Pro SP2
WinFast A250 - 128MB GeForce4 Ti 4400
AMD Athlon 1.2GHz

Do you have MyColors installed along side WB6? They don't play well together at times.

Also have you tried applying skins with Theme Manager?

If you don't have it give it a try from here: https://www.stardock.com/products/thememanager/

No, I don't have MyColors, and Theme Manager is a part of OD, is it not? Since I got the standalone WB, I won't be able to use it properly, right?

Ryxpia,

Your Stardock account does not show any software purchased, could you have a 2nd account under a different e-mail perhaps?

That's odd. It should have WB6 in there. Not sure what happened, then. :/

EDIT 2: Reverted back to WB5.5. Everything working fine now.

Thank you for the information.

Do you have any any antispyware or other security apps running at startup?
