England vs Australia

An amazing performance by the English Lionhearts.
I know they whipped us at cricket but even as a staunch supporter I couldn't see us beating the Aussies at the World Cup quarter final.
Amazing heart and bravery.
"Almost" as good as 2003!

Now I'm of to find some rope and a tree

Go RED SOX

( Every cloud has a silver lining - but I know the the AB's loss was a huge blow )

You have to feel sorry for the Aussies; they were so tired from talking about the English team and how they were going to trash them that they had no energy left for the game! Their front row was smashed.

No I don't....just like I don't when the Poms lose the cricket.

All's fair in sport & war....all combatants are fair game...all can be cut down in the name of the game.

Wonder if that means chess masters will be able to take baseball bats into tournaments?

Buzz....I felt the same way...in reverse....Oz first...All Blacks second.....then I thought 'come on, Fiji ....still 'our' end of the world'.

Got another rope? ....

Poor old All-Blacks beaten by the French....missed that game...but was probably a bigger/unexpected 'disaster'....

Oh i missed that

I have, but I'm gonna save it in case those bloody poms win again, god, they'd be unbearable.

It was a good day

A win for our Rugby lads against France in a hard won game in Paris.

A win for our footballers against Estonia played @ Wembley.

Both were good wins, but I've removed the results on the off chance someone has still to see the games....

Beating the Aussies is nice, but nothing compares to beating the French. Well done England

too to the England cricket team for beating Sri Lanka 3-2 on their home soil - a rare feat for any team and a first for England

As a Brit now based in the US it was good to see our teams do so well over the past few days - The rugger lads beating our French counterparts (Quentin, I echo Vals sentiments - You took it like a man!!!), the soccer team progressing in Euro 2008 and the cricket guys beating a pretty useful Sri Lankan side but now my attention and loyalty must turn to a local side which has won the hearts and minds of the whole State and many people from outside. The Colorado Rockies!!!! Fairy Tale story if ever there was one in Major League Baseball. 2-0 so far against the Diamondbacks in the Play Off's and everyone here is up for the next few games in the series which could lead to a World Series outing. The whole city is going nuts and 'Rox Fever' is everywhere. They are a team who have no stars but play their hearts out for each other and it's amazing to watch. COME ON YOU ROX

Sorry to dissapoint some of you, but I'm for France. I'm therefore not so happy that they lost, however I think due to the way England played, they deserved the win.

Just my 2c!
