if you listened to yarlen, he said they would announce at least a week in advance of the release of beta 2.
thats a week from now.
I dont see an announcement

and do you really think that the Ironclad group that we know and love is going to bother to not give themselves the maximum time they can muster! or if they have to create some more time!

Just a question. Since neither the Advent or the Vasari are going to be in Beta 2, whats the BIG difference between beta 1 and 2 (besides TEC artillery!!! >.< w00t!)

The different is that Beta 2 will focus on gameplay more than "will it run on computer etc..." type of beta.

Ok... so how will the gameplay be improved? If there is a thread that answers my question just give me a link. I'm feeling kinda stupid asking these questions (specially since I have the first beta and all. I can't wait to get the full game with the other factions. I'm turning 16 before the game comes out, + theres X-mas,...and I want a car. Kinda. Very LITTLE info has been release as of yet. Other than the preview picture of beta 2.

They only have announced a new frigate which does long range bombardment.

Outside of the very basics - resources, how you interact with the game (mostly), build ships, etc. - just about everything else has been changed/updated from Beta 1.  Before and during Beta 1 we told people it was not for gameplay. Beta 2 will highlight that as just about all the actual gameplay elements will be in. More details coming soon.
