Attention Mods

I'm with you Bet. That is the most disgusting thing I have seen on this site. I have a grand daughter about that age. What were the mods thinking?

This is the sort of thing that can be overlooked because, at first glance, it seems innocent enough...but it's the apparent age of the subject and the position that makes it so very inappropriate. As a responsible,family oriented site - which i believe this is - the mods must take action and remove it.

While the content is questionable as to this site's purpose of skinning.

What you find offensive is more a reflection on perspectives and cultural differences.

Obscene?...hardly...a bit racy for Winc?...probably.  

If she really were a minor that would be a bit much...Japanese women are hard for americans to judge as far as age...but I didnt think she looked underage.

I didn't say it was obscene - just inappropriate....the subject appears to be much, much younger...and that is the problem I have with this.

Yeah obscene was my word boopish,sorry.I kinda agree,it may be inappropriate for here...but then my Elvira bootskin is pretty sexy too so I'm no judge.  

Culturally, from Adult Anime to models, the Japanese seem to offer a lot of 'young' looking women and don't have a problem with this. I don't know how many times I have googled harmless stuff and some Anime image came up in the midst of it all that made me wonder exactly what their perspective was.

The pose is suggestive. She looks young and when you compare it to other photo's of her on some websites I just checked out, she almost looks to be intentionally young here, or is this a very early photo?

It's not porn, though I think that there were far less suggestive photo's of her to post that are more 'mature' in appearance. Since this seems to be the author's first submission, perhaps some helpful criticism would go further than coming down on him aggressively.

Don't we all wish we looked that good at 30. Stings dudin it?   

It may be considered by some to be inappropriate for a family site, but it has been said many times by the site owners that WinCustomize is an adult site.

My personal opinion is, as a photograph it has no artistic merit whatsoever. As a screenshot it doesn't display either an interesting, or innovative desktop - hence it's low rating. It's just another dull and pointless glamour image.

Such 'glamour' images may well be considered to be exploitive of the female gender and devalue the individual as a person. Opinions and moral stances will always vary on such issues.

WinCustomize as a matter of policy has always rejected images which may either exploit or devalue individuals. I suspect this particular image's acceptance is borderline in this respect.

 

You know this has always been a sore spot for a lot of the women here. I agree its hard to tell if the ' female ' is 14 or 24. The shot itself is crap. I skipped over it the first day it was up. Even if the female is 24 - its still nothing but 'cheesecake' pose. I know men like pics of women - but if your going to do a screen shot of your desktop knowing that women are going to view - then use your brain. Ask yourself " Is this something I'd show my mother or wife ? If you answer no - then its a safe bet that the women here will also not like your shot.
Its disrespectful to the women that belong to this site to use this cheap depiction of the ' female'

This is not Art - Id rather see a beautiful naked or semi-naked tasteful picture that shows the beauty of the subject whether its male or female.

My opinion of this wall is that it appears to be a Japanese Teenager.

I agree with Fuzzy, but as all the vital parts are covered and nothing is showing, I let this one through.

I only wish my wife would let me put pictures of her in such a pose on my desktop or would allow me to be in such a pose on hers.

I guess there is some confusion as to wether she was Yuko Aoki or Yuko Ogura. (She is the latter) There is a 6 year age difference (30 and 24) but both do some 'modeling' as it were.

What bugs me about it, and I think the picture kind of confirms it, is that her disc site is run through www.starchild.co.jp and the name of her latest CD is Popo-Porn. Which, to my best ability to research is either Police Porn or Porn Police. Perhaps someone who knows something of the Japanese culture or language can clear that part up?

Wikipedia goes onto to say "is a popular Japanese idol and model who typically aims for the cute, innocent schoolgirl look."

From what I read on other sites, she sounds like a flake, who constantly reinvents herself to purposely appear 'odd' and/or 'quirky' to her fans, and who is willing to degrade herself for the popularity she seems to enjoy in Japan.

I have no problem if your buck naked on your wifes desktop or her on yours. The question is - would you post it here on WC ?

While the shot may have barely past through moderation..what ever happened to
the rule guidelines of the " Wall must be sufficiently obscured " ??

I recall having to put a items smack in the middle of a screen shot to get it past moderation..

My wife gets upset when I post my life journals. In my case, I would threaten to post it and take money not to.

It has been made perfectly clear that WC is not a family site like everyone once thought. With that being the case, you cannot police taste. The picture may be a seed for sick people to ogle over but we can't be all high and mighty about it.

Worry about yourself and leave my/your likes and dislikes alone.

I looked at the screenshot again and I'm missing something.  No nudity, no "come hither" look, nothing but a woman in a pool.  Maybe I'm desensitized . . but while I see no artistic merit . . I don't see anything anything that warrents "some things should be censored for integrity's sake"

Once again - its a matter of taste. I guess everyone Zooms in on the ass end of a person when taking a pic in a pool. I dont care if you remove it - leave it and give it a 5 star rating.

I asked about the WC Guidline rule " A Wall must be suffiently " OBSCURED "
Has that rule been tossed in the toilot ?

It would seem that my inital perception of the leadership of this site was highly overrated...and with that I will bid you a fond fair well.
