Fixing my start menu

hi,
Two questions:
1. how can I fix my log-off button in my start menu? On normal view, it looks like this (notice the small white lock doesn't fit because of the words "Log Off".

Then, on mouse-over, the whole thing looks like this (covers Search image):

And second question:
How can I adjust the the start menu so that it is a bit less transparent than what you see on the pictures?

BTW, this is the "Vista Clear Taskbar" skin by JuanPerez (found it at deviantart).
Thanks

Oh, I forgot one more thing with this skin.

The top toolbar of any window looks like this:

The problem is that when ever a window is maximized, (or also if I do alt+printscreen to capture the active window) then the top half of the toolbar is shoved up outside my display range and I can't see the close, minimize, maximize buttons. On screen it looks something like this (and then I have to resize and drag the window back into range):

Any ideas on whether that can be fixed?

Ok, I figured out the problem with my first post (start menu). I needed to apply the explorer patch to remove the text from those buttons.

My second problem is still there (with the top toolbar in any window).

Any help would be great, if not, I guess I'll just load another skin instead.
