Is there a quick way to empty the planet improvements queue?

The most annoying part of a big game (I guess it is fixed in the expansion) is to conquer a planet and then get stuck with a factory upgrade which applies to every factory in your collection of planets. If you leave it there, it ultimately starts
to bankrupt you. So I have to manually delete them and stick some stock exchanges in there. This can take 45 minutes. Then I get another factory upgrade and have to do the same thing over.

Any way to empty the planet improvement queues in a hurry?

Maybe I should build fewer factories and enhance them myself to get the same production.

I usually hit the x button in the build queue menue. It takes about 10 seconds to cancel everything. It is easier to cancel everything and start again rather than trying to change only the things you want to change.

Step 1) Click on colony details button.

Step 2) Click on Destroy Colony.

Step 3) Confirm step 2.

Presto! Your planet improvement queue is now clear!

Note: May result in unwanted side affects, including, but not limited to: loss of colony, mass murder, and loss of planet quality.

I can't believe this hasn't been fixed. Save it for the expansion.

Mousing on the improvement and hitting delete does it.
But for some reason the colony list (the main one on the left of the screen) doesn't stay on the same planet after you do it.
So it is back to click on the improvement and click on the x.

What I think Bryce was trying to say in his second sentence was:

When you destroy a colony the tiles and bonus tiles change.

brycej: That method deletes the improvement and upgrade, not just the currently queued upgrade.
