Stardock Central, problem update WB and Icon Ed

This is what I get when I try an update of either WB or IE??? Never had this before. I don't really want to uninstall either if it's not needed. Any help is appreciated.

I couldn't get the screen cap to work. I get prompted to uninstall before I can update WB or IE. Doesn't seem right

Post the exact text of the message you get. That will at least get things started.

And Merry Christmas.

IconPackager OEM is currently installed on your computer. Please uninstall this product from the add and remove programs within control panel to continue.

Would you like to uninstall now?

That's when trying to update IP 3.11.106 to 3.19{b}.008 or
WB 5.49a{b}.021 to 5.49b{b}.023

If I could get the darn gif on here you could see it.

Thanx for replying, maybe this'll be enough to get started.

That is odd.
How long have you had a subscription?
Did you ever have the shareware versions of either of those apps installed?
Do you see IP or WB listed in Add/Remove Programs?

Not sure this is moving toward an answer, but it's moving.

have you installed an alienguise theme (from alienware) or perhaps one of the free themes (from stardock) that were/are available at download.com?

A couple years on the subscription

I think I had WB as shareware a long time ago.

I don't have WB or IP listed in the Add/Remove pgm

Thanx

Yes I had an alienguise theme on here and a freebie from SD I don't think I got it from D?L.com though. I get the WinCustomize.com Magazine and I think I got it from a link in there.

Thanx

BTW just installed SDC again and nothing has changed...... 2.38.433,build 139

I've got a gif file sitting on my hd, how can I send it in a post on here. using FF2.0. I've uploaded it to webshots in my account but the link they make automagically doesn't work. I'm prolly doing something wrong. It's irritating

try uploading to photobucket - registration is free - then copy the http url generated there and paste it into the 'insert image' box here.

When I downloaded one of the 1st Alienguise from alienware it told me I had stardocks thememgr installed and asked if I wanted to use that - i said yes.

OK I did it, all I'm getting right now is the text. Let's see ...it works! I never used the Alien Themer.

did you go into add/remove and look for IP OEM?

It is because you have installed a stand-alone third party Skin Suite. Uninstall the suite first, then install the IP and WB

Have you registered the products with some other email adress?
