If you don't like it, don't research it - of course, then you are foregoing the bonuses for defining your alignment....

mmm don't change it

I don't see a reason for a separate option either.

You do not even enable the choice without first researching Xeno Ethics, so not researching it is the same as disabling it.

Disabling it would prevent the AI from using it...

Why would you want to disable xeno ethics? Of course I'm asking this as a good aligned player who hates the ethinical decisions that come up without the tech. They seem to punish us for making the right decision.

just one thing, evil civs. only have one victory (military) to aim for because they find it VERY hard to perfrom the others.

Good civs can aim for influance (because there a good example), democratic (they make friends, fast) and tech victory (because all the evil civs. are researching weapons, good civs. are getting better reasearch buildings and accellerating there path terwords that victory).

So . . I think I'II stay with the good.

What 'better research buildings' does Good alignment get?

NLC's are Neutral alignment, and they are the only other research buildings that are not available to Evil (or Good for that matter) that I know of.

And, by the way - (because there a good example), - should be 'they're'.
And, - "and accellerating there path terwords" - should be 'accelerating their path towards'.

Merriam-Webster Online can be your friend.

How do you figure that one? I admit that I play solely as an evil race, and almost always play with military victory as my goal, but I have had a few wins via influence and two wins as a tech victory from what I can remember. And as far as playing as a "good" alignment, where is the outcome difference? In almost all circumstances you find yourself inevitably drawn into war for one reason or another. That is just the way the game is designed. Who in here has played a complete game, all the way through, and not once saw a battle occur somewhere? I am curious to know if any of you has ever had a game without a single combat encounter. I realize I may be putting alot of emphasis on this one but I just couldn't believe what I was reading with regards to the good vs. evil choice.

like i said i like to pick bad choice when i get a big bonus
and then if it is money or the drug thing i go with the good choice
to balance out when i pick the evil choice

i also made research Xeno Ethics coast so much it takes for ever to
research it .

i play games that go on for a long time and fell in the long run i get
more out of the events than if i chose a aliment early
but thats my opinion and it also makes the other races change there relation
with you.

These two things go hand in hand, I just trade with Neutral alignment. Also I think your forgetting what the Alrians are good at.

few wins via influence

Evil alignments only achevive influance victories when they crush every other civ. into the ground and decleare peace when the civ. only have a couple of planets left to flip them, or at least thats the only way I do it.

No, I have achieved an influence victory using influence starbases and a superior culture. Gifting helps, but I try not to go overboard. I've done this with both 1.2 and 1.3, which is what I am still currently playing with. If you find that you have to fly around the galaxy and annihilate anything that moves, simply because you play as an evil race, that is your choice. Everyone plays differently which we all know, but I can never accept that an evil race can only win via military domination, using hard fisted tactics to oppress the weak. I save the iron fist for my subservient lackeys and tax payers!
