Thanks for that, Po'...tho i'm a bit concerned the uproarious laughter could be counter-productive to the valium I'm taking....oh well, I know now what to turn to when I run out of uppers to counter the downers. I dunno, the doc's got me on so many of these things, I'm up and down like Xaviera Hollander's G-string.

BTW, I'm sure that's the same tech guy who asked me if I was rebooting my PC, and when I replied 'yes, I am booting my puter now', he said; "I am not asking you to kick your computer, only to restart it."

Sounds like the guy from Microsoft activation support. A short extract of a conversation I had with them in May, a conversation I gave up on...

Me: I've just installed Office on a new pc, it has activated correctly but when I use the website genuine advantage validation tool to get downloads it tells me office is not activated.

Somewhere in India: What number is showing on the Office activation screen?

Me: No, Office has already activated, there is no activation screen, it's the website I can't use.

SiI: I need the number so I can give you your activation key.

Me: I don't need an activation key. Office has activated already. It's the website I can't use.

SiI: I don't understand.

Me: I'll explain it simply. I've installed Office on a new pc. Office has activated correctly - I have already downloaded all Office updates, everything works fine. When I try to get some extra downloads from the Office website, the website genuine advantage validation tool is incorrectly seeing this install of Office as not being validated when it is. I need that problem solving.

SiI: You have to give me the number from the Office activation screen for me to give you the key.

Me: I've just told you it's already... (calms down a little)... Look, this conversation is going no-where. Can I speak to someone who speaks English, I'm not getting through to you at all. On second thoughts forget it, I don't need to use the GAVT to get what I need. Thanks for you help...

Fuzzy, you have to understand those support lines aren't run by carbon units like you or I, their bots run by extremely advanced algorithm's that never miss a beat.

No BS. There are 3 Brand new, never opened, Treo 650's (value $1,200.00 us) sitting on my desk waiting for me to package them up and send back to Verizon. Verizon Tech support and Palm tech support actually had an argument during a conference call and I was stuck in the middle. The end result...

Verizon keeps sending me Treo 650's. I don't even have the Treo anymore. I swapped it for a phone that works.

Anyone need a Treo?

I was talking with M$ tech support yesterday and the guy was in New Zealand (that is where i live).

What is break? ... Stop working?
