See, this is the kind of thing that pisses me off. As soon as some guys find out you're a girl, they stop taking you seriously as a person/gamer and start hitting on you. I was looking for other female players, and one responded. It's good to know I'm not completely alone. I play all kinds of games... FPS, RTS, MMORPGs, fighting games, and okay yes, even Sims (because I'm a control freak).

Now girls are no better than guys in the fact that they can learn almost anything a man can.

That makes sense to me. The other girls who are playing probably don't care much about the forums.

I do notice one thing about the females posts.
They seem to have a better grasp of the English language, and the concepts of grammar and punctuation.

As far as HOMMV from the demo and reviews its HOMM3 just with better graphics.

Short version: HoMM 5 is pretty much HoMM3.5 with much prettier graphics. I'm enjoying it quite a bit.

Slightly longer version: There are some substantial gameplay improvements, and the six town types are all interesting and fun to play for completely different reasons. I was worried that replacing the old hex grid with a square grid on the tactical combat screen would make the battles less interesting, but it hasn't. The new skill system is fun, and the maps are pretty good. H5 does have its drawbacks, however. There are only a handfull of scenarios and there is no scenario creator/editor or random map generator. The aforementioned pretty graphics can make it difficult to read the board position on the world map until you get used to the slightly odd visual language they've used.

And slightly more on-topic, some of the depictions of women in the game may irritate some female players. The "Dungeon" faction (dark elves in bondage gear) might as well be called the "Faction of the Hot Chicks". The central feature of their town is the Great Idol Of The Hot Chick. Which I mostly just find amusing; the Might and Magic games have always had a certain over-the-top, tongue-in-cheek ultra-seriousness to them, what with villains that say "Look at me! Aren't I the most evil-looking thing you've ever seen? Check out my huge spiky shoulder pads!"

Still, I suspect most female gamers won't really be too annoyed. They tend to have thicker skins than their non-gaming sistren. Necessity demands it.

If you dont belive me load up a game of Warcraft 3 go into a game and say your female, watch as everyone starts whispering you asking bra size, color of panties, ect ect.

I have actually done this, I am so ashamed now. When my opponent told me she was a woman I was like "Yeah right, no women play this game" and I said "sure, I'll touch your breasts then, ha ha." She dropped on me and I felt like crap.

Oh, I am so mad, I was just at a flash animation of a little cardboard thing that a woman can fold out into a cone and pee through standing up. Urinelle is one brand of it.
